NJ Transit - Bus Always Late

RED BANK, NEW JERSEY -- My son & I go to Brookdale Community College in Lincroft. We travel from Long Branch, to Red Bank to Lincroft. First of we have to wait in Red Bank for an HOUR because our bus gets to Red Bank 10 minutes after the bus going to Brookdale leaves. That's fine now, but what about in freezing temperatures? The Red Train station closes at 9am!

The REAL problem I have is the ride home. Because of road work on Newman Springs Rd., the 5:27 bus from Brookdale gets to Red Bank late EVERYDAY causing us to miss the LAST bus to Long Branch, then we have to take the train which costs more money. They have been working on this road for a while now NJ Transit knows this and you would think they would adjust the bus schedule accordingly. My son and I are not the only ones missing connections. I have a bad leg and the walk from the train station is a good ways, where as the bus stop is only a block from my house. A 10 min schedule change by connecting buses would make all the difference. Even extending the hours for the last bus to Long Branch would help. This bus stops running to Long Branch at 6:50 pm! We can't get a later bus. The bus from Red Bank to Asbury Park runs much later.

Have you tried talking to a supervisor at NJT? They might not be aware your bus is always late.
