HAMILTON -- We made a grave error in switching our Telephone, TV and internet service to Bell Canada.
We were hesitant because past experience had been unsatisfactory.
However, we were assured that Bell had improved their services. We explained our past experiences with Bell and warned them that we were hesitant but were repeatedly assured of new systems and improved customer service. The service was switched to Bell at the beginning of January 2013. Within a couple of months of installation we began receiving calls from the Philippines that we owed money to Bell Canada. The callers were rude and uninformed, did not have access to the record of payments made. After four months of trying to sort things out, we called to terminate the service. At the end of the month (April 2013) we were assured that we had paid all that was owing to Bell. We returned all of Bell's equipment in their packaging with their labels.
It is now September and we are being harassed by Bell and a collection agency for unreturned equipment and unpaid bills.
Needless to say, I will tell everyone I know, to NEVER subscribe to Bell Canada services. They still think they have a monopoly and continue to treat people in a cavalier manner.
Good-bye, Bell Canada and good riddance!!
