Customer Service - Complaint
We installed DIRECTV in our RV to use a couple of months per year. All we wanted was the basic service. Extra services were included for a three month trial period. When that expired, I contacted Customer Service to reiterate that all we wanted was the basic service. In June 2013 we received a call from DIRECTV offering to upgrade our service. Again I told them all we wanted was the basic service. Since the bill is paid with a debit card (automatic deduction) I presumed all was ok. This week I noticed that DIRECTV upgraded the service in July anyway so now I have been overcharged for three months. My fault for not checking every month but why can't they be trusted to do what the customer wants. I have cancelled the service and will have to pay a $200.00 cancellation fee with no refund for the over billing.
I suggest people never do business with this company. If you are willing to suffer the hassles and dishonesty/poor service I suggest you check your bill every month.
