Etrade Online Complaint - Etrade is awful - stay away

PORTLAND, OREGON -- I was with Harris Direct, who was recently bought by Etrade. Harris Direct had great service, was clear and concise in their communication and could direct me when I had questions/concerns. Etrade is anything but. They don't answer their phone - waited for over 30 minutes twice before giving up... when I email, they take a week to get back and then don't answer the question. I think they have outsourced their service to India and the people replying don't understand...

It is awful and I am looking to switch to someone else - stay away from these guys....

If Etrade can't handle your investment needs and don't want your business, then go somewhere else. There are plenty of investment companies. Etrade has gotten to big for the britches in a short period of time, they lost control.

I've been with e-trade for a couple years now and have had the same exact problems written about here. I can never get them to answer their phone either!
