General Motors Complaint - $2,467.00 for a head gasket??
My 2003 Vibe with 77,000 miles blew the head gasket in 2 places. I have been in rental car now for 6 weeks because all of the replacement gaskets were found to be defective at the factory and they had to be remanufactured. I have no problem paying for the repairs as the car is out of warranty and (1) week of a rental car, but GM refuses to pay for the other (5) weeks becuase it is their POLICY that they do not pay for rentals if a part is Natioanl Back Order. I was also told that I am not the only person this has effected, so I assume that there are others being screwed by GM as well. I am an active duty service member of 18 years and I find it completely unsat that this is how GM treats US Service Members. I can only imagine how bad they treat civillians. I have purchased 5 new GM vehicles in the past and all they want to do is give me a $1,000.00 loyalty certificate toward a new GM vehicle. They must be out of their mind if they think I will ever own another GM car. And my father is a retired GM employee and I will even have to pass on the discount because I know that once you buy the car GM does not give a damn about its customers. If there is anyone out there also affected by this please contact me I am thinking about a class action suit.
