Sears - Charged Twice for Purchase
Clothing Department Checkout - Complaint
WHITTIER, CALIFORNIA -- My credit union requires 10 debits a month to provide free checking and interest.
On 10/7/13, when I swiped my debit card at Sears, it asked for my signature instead of my pin number. I refused to sign and asked the clerk to remove the charge and I would just pay cash, which I did. Later that evening Sears sent copies of both transactions to my E-mail address showing my cash payment and my debit/credit card being charged also. In that E-mail Sears asked me to rate my shopping experience. When I rated all the questions as negatively as possible, a window opened asking why. I explained the whole situation and gave my E-mail address and phone number as they requested.
I went to the credit union today, 10/8/13, and they verified the credit card was charged. Sears has not contacted me yet so this is my first post about this. Every day they fail to correct this, I will post this story on other sites.
