The Parking Spot - Snubbed & Ignored by Driver
DFW AIRPORT, TEXAS -- Today I waited for The Parking Spot shuttle, South lot, for almost 35 minutes before a South bus finally came to Terminal E. The driver saw me flag her down but drove off although there were no customers on board. I waited another 10-12 minutes and the 2nd time I waved her down again. She looked me straight in the eyes, stuck her chin up in the air, and drove off. I called the South station and said I'd tried twice to get on the South bus painted with TCU colors and to please send another bus. They did so, and when several of us boarded, I heard she had done the same thing to other customers waiting at that terminal. One sweet couple was snubbed 3 times before they called to complain.
After I paid for my 3.5 days of time, I asked to speak with the manager. He came out to visit with me and basically called me a liar. He said this driver was one of his best (I would hate to see the worst!) and that she was a good Christian girl that would not do such a thing. I just said, "Wow. I have been using The Parking Spot since 1998, and you have just lost a customer for life." I am hoping I am wrong about the reason so many of us were snubbed...we were all white and she was not. I thought we had gotten to the point in our nation when the color of skin didn't matter, but there is no other explanation why this young woman would refuse to stop.
They have lost a customer for life, and I'm sending a message to the 3500 other people in my organization not to use this parking service if at all possible.
