CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE -- Need body repair for your car? Abra in Chattanooga, TN is not in need of your car! Specifically, the location on International in Chattanooga.

I had an insurance adjustor state the work would take 7 days. I dropped of my car September 30th and got it back October 21st. Yes, that's 16 work days (Monday through Friday).

The paint wasn't correct after they got it reassembled the first time. Yes, that was the FIRST excuse. The second excuse was that after they got the car painted and put back together the second time, the front bumper didn't fit because it was an aftermarket bumper. Did we not think to check this before painting it the first time or even notice it after they put it together the first time?

So I made a surprise visit, where I was shown how "poorly" the aftermarket front bumper was, then I was shown all the other cars that needed "major work" too. I'm sorry, but if you have too many cars, maybe I should have taken mine elsewhere.

And please...next time, be sensible and stop with the lame excuses.

Generally speaking a busy bodyshop is a good sign. It means they they do decent work for a decent price. As for the aftermarket bumper, those can be problematic, and it's your insurance company, not the body shop that's to blame for that one. Your insurance didn't want to shell out money for OEM replacement parts, it's not the body shop's fault that the part didn't fit. With that said, the getting the paint job wrong the first time was a blunder on their part.
