Whirlpool/KitchenAid - Doesn't Back Their Products
Range/Oven - Complaint
MICHIGAN -- Last year we bought a Whirlpool refrigerator freezer in white. Within 5 months it started pilling. We contacted the customer service department in Michigan and was told paint wasn't warrenteed, only mechanism. We donated it to a homeless shelter and bought another brand.
We bought a complete kitchen 8 years ago of Kitchen Aid refrigerator/freezer. range/oven, dishwasher and microwave.
Yesterday my wife turned on oven and the inside window cracked. The store manager we bought it from said he was in appliances over 35 years and never heard of something like this happening. We contacted the CEO, Jeff Fettig via tel and email. Asked him to contact us to see if he would do anything re service call charge and we would pay for parts...NO RESPONSE!
Whirlpool and their subsidiary, Kitchen Aid are not reputable, not consumer oriented and the example set by Jeff Fettig is company mantra, it's an arrogant company who hopefuly won't get away with that arrogance if your advocacy triumphs. Hope so.
