I'll Never Buy a Ryobi Drill (Or Other Product) Again
Ryobi drill, 9.6 V battery
Purchased a Ryobi drill a few years ago. I wanted my own drill and small tool kit so I didn't have to rely on my husband's things. Shortly after, I had to purchase a replacement battery. Tried to recharge the battery last week and now the charger doesn't work. Went to Batteries Plus (no replacement available), went to Lowe's (they don't carry that brand), went to Home Depot (nothing available); purchased a charger from Direct Tools Factory Outlet (ended up with some other Ryobi 9.6V recharger that doesn't work with this battery. Called customer service at Ryobi ~ comment was "I'm sorry, it isn't made anymore and there is no replacement." No offer to exchange or give partial credit for this drill that probably hasn't been used 20 times.
So, I guess I throw the drill away and buy an electric one. You can bet it won't be a Ryobi.
