Take the body shop to small claims court. You may not get full reimbursement since there is a cap on small claim damages. At least you will be able to get most of your money back. Make sure you take pictures of your car and and the crappy work that was done. Pictures speak a thousand words.

Yeah pictures in court rock. Make sure to use a camera that will date/time stamp the pictures, they really seem to like that too.

Hmmm, that amount sounds a little excessive. I would shopped around perhaps buy the panels from a dealer then find a indy shop (check their reputation with AES).

Thank you for your comments. I tried the BBB, and that did not go very far. Then I used small claims court, where the case lost. I had many pictures, a repair estimate, presented all the evidence, and got a judgement that the pictures did not prove anything (though they obviously do), the estimate includes painting the front of the car, which was "not damaged", and "you should take the car back since it is a lifetime warranty." I'm sorry, but if a business screws the job up the first time I don't want them trying again. The owner of the shop lied in court, saying I chose this custom color, and that explains painting the rest of the car. A complete waste of 2 months. I just want to cut his business now by warning future consumers.

UPDATE: I washed my car thoroughly today and found the front bumper cracking. The cracks are visible by reflections only, but it is beginning to feel bumpy. I bet more paint will blow off very soon, as some more already is (and they are not rock chips!).

UPDATE: I made a website with plenty of pictures for evidence at http://www.freewebs.com/gregsmess/
PS. MORE paint fell off the bumper.
