Alamo Complaint - poor service
ROMULUS, MICHIGAN -- On November 30, 2001, I rented a van at Detroit Metropolitan Airport. That night when we were ready to use the van we noticed the oil light was on and the gas tank was on E. My son checked the oil and found the van had no oil in it or window-washer fluid. We were pressed for time at that point so we put oil, window washer fluid in the van and filled the gas tank. Upon reading the rental agreement, I discovered I should have had a full tank of gas at the time I rented the van. I reported the lack of service to the manager when I returned the car on Monday, December 3, 2001. The manager credited me for one day of service, a total of $56.00.
To help keep me as a potential future customer, I would like the following:
I am not satisfied, $56.00 was just enough to pay for the tank of gas purchased when I rented the van and the tank of gas purchased when I returned the van. What about the oil, window washer fluid and the negligence of the company to provide me with the service I initial to have received on the rental agreement? My account should have been credited for two days ($112.) at least. I have been an Alamo customer for years, never have I received such poor service.
At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident. Thank you for your time.
