McDonald's Corporation Complaint - Horrible Customer Service
LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY -- Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at 6:45 p.m. My husband went to the drive thru at 2500 Dixie Hwy Louisville, Ky and placed an order for a 10 piece chicken nugget value meal, plain doublecheeseburger and spicy chicken. The order was confirmed by that screen that they have now (you know the one that shows your order so that it isn't wrong!!) YA RIGHT! Also, he ordered a side of Tartar sauce for the fries in the meal. After pulling up to the first window and paying with credit card. He was told to pull to the next window for receipt and order. So he pulled up, got the order and left. No reciept! Right after he left, of course, he reached in the bag to eat some fries. What do you know, but no fries!! He turned around went back to ask for his fries and the manager herself (apparantly) prepared his meal. She told him he didn't order any fries because she prepared his order herself and she knows. She told him to produce the ticket, after telling her he was not given a receipt she called him a liar and wouldn't give him the fries. Come on now it is some fries, really, if someone pulls all the way off and comes back. Do you really think they are lying over some fries!! He left and came home. When we opened the bag and pulled out the order, there were no chicken nuggets, a BIG MAC (which we didn't order) and the side of tartar was in the bag (IMAGINE THAT)!! (FUNNY)I decided to call and let them know. Hoping they would offer to correct the order, like any good company and MANAGEMENT would. Not this place and certainly not this manager. I guess it was about being wrong or something. She again called me out to be a liar and when I told her I would contact her district manager because she began to argue with me she cut me off and wouldn't give me her name, then hung up on me.
I could care less about some fries and chicken nuggets, but what upsets me mostly is that you don't call a customer out to be lying it is horrible customer service. I know!! I worked customer service for years. The fact that this is a manager representing Mcdonalds name is sad. I feel sorry for Mcdonalds that they have to hire such rancid people to work for them. By the way everybody there is an 800 number on the side of your coke cups to call and make an official complaint anytime you need to. I found that out by calling another manager, a good manager, from a location on bardstown rd. Try to remember this was completely blown out of proportion over some fries. It should be taught in Customer Service class for Mcdonalds not to call your customer, liars. Do they offer customer service courses for their employees?
