Walmart - Closing of Registers While Customers Are in Line
Cashier - Complaint
THOMASVILLE, GEORGIA -- My wife and I got in line at a register and after I placed some of my items on the conveyor belt the cashier looked at me for probably the 3rd time and informed me that she was closed, there was also a lady behind me. I stated that I could not believe it and she stated that she also liked her time off. That was register 5.
We then went to register 3 and we were the 2nd in line with another customer behind us. My wife told me sit down as I am disabled and was in pain. She was in line for 10 minutes and the cashier informed them that she was closed and they would have to go to another register.
My wife complained to the CSM Brenda and was told that it was company policy to close registers on time so the cashiers could go on break. She (Brenda) then opened another register and my wife was able to check out after 2 other customers.
We completely understand labor practices and scheduling but does Brenda, and what happened to good old customer service? I think you failed to meet the standards.
The store manager posted his picture and a phone # at the registers but when you call it you get the store customer service. We were told that he was off for the weekend and not available. Again, what's the point?
