Maaco Compliment - EXCELLENT service - Body repair and Painting

Body repair and Painting - Compliment
Review by Stretch5 on 2006-04-24
LAWNSIDE, NEW JERSEY -- I was TOTALLY PLEASED with the job that Maaco did on my car. My '99 Chvy Malibu was rear-ended and I took it to Elmer's Auto Body, who told me the car was totaled, and gave an estimate of $5,600. My husband and I decided to get another estimate, as that seemed way too high.

We took the car to Maaco in Lawnside, and that was the BEST thing we could have done!! The auto body man, Joe, looked at my car and heard the story, and assured me that he could fix it. He went to bat for me with my insurance company, who still were bound and determined to total it. They agreed to $3,473.99, a far cry from the first estimate of $5,600!!! Joe went far and above the call of duty for me, arguing with the insurance company on my behalf. The insurance company even called Maaco to stop work, but he continued, as he was already started on it.

When I went to pick my car up, Joe was there waiting for me to explain what he'd done. I was SO
HAPPY with my car --it looked better than it looked when I'd bought it 18 months earlier!! Even my picky husband had glowing comments about the work- he even went to Maaco to thank them personally!!

All in all, Maaco helped me out when I felt like everyone was working against me, and I would highly recommend Maaco -Lawnside to everyone.

Stretch gets paid for each useless spam she sends. If this is legitimate (which I really don't believe), it was done one week ago. Wait until a month goes by and you can pull the paint off in sheets. Made the mistake of going to Maaco many years ago--got the top line paint job done. Had to have the BBB resolve it. Result? Complete refund of all money paid to these con artists. Where's Earl Schieb(SP?) when you need him?

this could be real....since this was not a Maaco $300 paintjob...but an insurance payout of $3500. that's a decent amount of money that should cover the bodywork and prep to go into a good collision repair/paint.
