Simply Wireless Complaint - Rebate Complaint
VIRGINIA -- I also purchased multiple cell phones from simply wireless under the assurance (both verbal assurance from their sales staff and the sales reciept breakdown on-line which showed $0 as the after-rebate cost). My initial rebate submission was on November 11, 2005...it is now April 26,2006..over 5 months with no rebate. I have finally been able to secure verbal agreement from their rebate department to honor their rebate agreement, but their rebate processor will not release the funds...there is no end to the run-around.
By the way...to all who have been caught...please read their Terms and Conditions carefully...they contend that each phone must be on a seperate $39 plan to qualify, but their early rebate forms DID NOT SAY THAT. The language in the Rebate Rules is unclear and does not in any way state that each phone must be on a separate plan....."Purchase a Cingular Wireless digital phone and activate service on a qualified rate plan of $39.99/mo or higher with a two year agreement" I did that....I bought a phone and activated it on a $79.99 contract. The terms further state "Limit one (3-month, 6-month, 9-month) mail-in rebate for each qualified and activated Cingular wireless digital phone purchased from Simply Wireless" I did that as well...I am only requesting one rebate for each phone purchased from Simply Wireless and all phones are on a qualified plan of minimum $39.99 and all are activated. This interpretation is vallidated by their website that stated..."buy two phones Free after rebate".
If you do not get satisfaction please enter a complaint with the Virginia Department of COnsumer Affairs and your state Attorney General Office.
Simply Wireless is a very difficult company to work with, I would not recommend purchasing from them.
