The Jacksonville Ale house regency Complaint - Roach

Review by maryr on 2006-05-05
JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA -- My husband and I were eating at the Jacksonville Ale house at Regency. Our waitress was nice but seemed like she had no clue. I ordered a dozen steamed oysters and clams came out. Then while I was eating my oysters a roach came crawling across the table then on my arm. I screeched, so my husband began trying to kill it. Meanwhile our waitress walks up with the rest of our meal while he was finishing killing the roach in front of her. She looked at us trying to kill the bug and still was steadily trying to put the meal on the table. She placed the food on the table and my husband handed her the dead roach in a napkin, she said "gross" and walked away. My husband is a restraint manager, he was expecting a manager to come to the table to apologize. No one came. Needless to say we did not finish our meal we left. I will never eat there again.

Are your eateries rated by the state? Get the website and/or number and file a complaint so that eatery can be inspected.

Definitely check with the sanitation dept re: this restaurant. Also, why didn't you ask for the manager? Someone should have been alerted to the roach situation.
