PENNINGTON, NEW JERSEY -- Upon closing CMA account on 1/20/06, received in 2/28 statement a debit charge of $125 annual fee. Request for securities transfer ignored and by 4/28 a "low balance" fee of $15 debited. Over 30 years Merrill Lynch practices have gone from excellent to good to bad to abysmal, i.e. from serving clients to serving their self-interests. Its all about money for ML, not clients.

That really is too bad. I have only heard bad things about Merrill Lynch. *tsk tsk*

My husband & I had our IRAs with Merrill Lynch. We set up our accounts at a branch convenient to us. After 1 year with them they transfered our accounts to a branch 120 miles from us. They never told us they did this until we stopped at the branch near us to talk to our ""advisor". We immediately closed our accounts with them. It took them almost 2 years to transfer our funds! We will ever do business with them again!!!
