Horrible! Ordered a Masonic

NEW HAMPSHIRE -- I ordered a masonic ring. They sent a completely different ring than what I had ordered. I sent them pictures of the rings I sent along with pictures of what I had ordered. They sent a new ring. It arrived and is still different than what has been depicted. The onyx stone with offset and clumsily glued in place. The band had an imperfection from the mold. The band was not an antique finish like have been in the picture and describe, and the square and compasses of the ring were completely different than had been depicted.

I took a picture of this ring and again the ring that I had ordered, and the sales representative refuse to admit the error or take responsibility for the mistake. They sent me a check for $50. That still leaves me $250 in the hole, and a ring that is an embarrassment to wear. Disgusting, cheap, and just a little less than theft.

TORRENCE, CALIFORNIA -- Awful, unprofessional business. Sold a ring that they did not have in stock and then had been sold out. But wait, then they did not notify me for the next 4 days, past the shipping date that there was no ring, and that they couldn't fulfill my order. And when contacted their response was "sorry we were out of the office last week and didn't know what was going on and we will try to help you when someone comes to the office." Think about it - do you want to give $100 and $1,000 to such an incompetent, unprofessional business. If this is how they handle order fulfillment and customer service, I can only imagine that the quality of the jewelry itself is awful.

Dishonest Retailer

TORRANCE, LOUISIANA -- I ordered my husband's wedding band from their website. It was the perfect, titanium ring that we were looking for. I had seen it on a few other websites for less, but I paid the extra because they advertised a lifetime warranty. When it came time to register my ring first I got the runaround, then I was told the manufacturer will not warranty it because it came from an online retailer and they took down the warranty info on the product.

Not only did they lie about removing the false advertising (it is still up as of this post), but they removed one of my reviews on their website. The one praising the way the product looked is still there, the one complaining about the warranty mysteriously disappeared. Www.joyjewelers.com is not worth the time, money or hassle. They will not even respect you enough NOT to lie directly to you.

Tried to Return a Piece of Junk Charm

TORRENCE, CALIFORNIA -- I ordered a gold charm that was stated as being mini, I knew it was going to be small but I would never figure that I would not be able to fit the jump ring on the end of a gold chain through the bale of this charm, I called to get refund but they would not pay for shipping when it is clearly their fault, no necklaces jump ring could fit through this microscopic bale. I mean come on it's their fault and they should have paid for shipping. And by the way, the charm was a piece of crap.

Special Order Masonic Ring

TORRANCE, CALIFORNIA -- On April 15, 2018 I special ordered a Masonic Ring from Joy Jewelers. I had e-mailed them a question earlier in the day, and they answered me within 30 minutes. I entered the order, and realized immediately after hitting send, that I'd made a mistake. I sent them an e-mail, and asked them to notify me if they needed me to void the sale and reenter all the information.

Before the end of the business day (a Sunday, no less) in California, I'd received an e-mail stating that they'd caught the mistake and corrected it, I didn't need to do anything. I had been informed that it would take 3-4 weeks to receive the ring. I received it today, 13 days after placing the order. The ring was the correct size, exactly as I'd ordered it, and fit perfectly. The people I interacted with were prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. I would order again from Joy Jewelers without hesitation. Highly recommended.

Buffoons Running This Company
By -

I received a ring for Christmas and after 1 day of wearing it a stone fell out. I contacted Joy Jewelers and was issued an RMA. I was told to ship it back to Torrance CA. I called and spoke to BUFFOON #1 one week after they received the ring to see what the status was. I was told after they received it they had to ship it back to their manufacturing plant in OHIO and I had to give it time to get there. I asked why I was not informed of this and he stated that they do not inform their customers of every little move they make. I then asked to speak to his supervisor and was told that he was the supervisor.

I hung up and called back with a complaint and was then directed to BUFFOON #2. BUFFOON #2 apologized and said that he would let me know the following week via either a phone call or email what they would be doing to the ring.

I did not receive any communication the following week so I called on the following Monday and spoke to BUFFOON #3 and was told that the factory closed shortly so he would have to let me know tomorrow. I told him that was unacceptable as BUFFOON #2 had said he would contact me and had not. He proceeded to put me on hold for a couple minutes and came back and said that BUFFOON #2 said that the ring would ship back to me this week, I asked if a tracking # would be emailed and he confirmed that it would.

As of Friday, 2/13 I had not received any email so I called back and spoke to BUFFOON #3. He said, "Oh yes, after I spoke to you on Monday. I emailed the factory and was told by them that they are behind 3 weeks." I asked why I was not communicated this and was told by BUFFOON #3 that they do not call every customer for everything. I told him this was unacceptable and asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that, BUFFOON #1 or BUFFOON #2 would be the ones to speak to. I said I have already spoken to all of them and this is ridiculous.

I was put on hold and directed to BUFFOON #2 whom I told I was very upset and I am being mislead and asked if there was someone higher up that I could speak to. He told me that he was the president of the company!!! What a joke! He then proceeded to tell me I have 2 choices.... wait the 3 weeks for the repair or stop the repair and get my money back. I do not trust that if I decide to get my money back if he will truly do that.

Obviously there are only 3 people working here, all in the supervisory capacity and all they know how to do is answer the phone! And I don't know why they bother because they never have information regarding THEIR defective merchandise that they sold you.

Junk Gold Charm Didn't Refund

I purchased a gold charm for my husband for Christmas. To our disappointment, the $643.97 charm looked and felt like a cheap piece of tin. We sent it back at our cost, and thus far they refunded $86.97. Struggling to get the full amount back and I'm not at all sure why they didn't fully refund this junk gold right out of the gate.

TORRENCE, CALIFORNIA -- They completely misrepresented their item - it is plated, not genuine sterling silver (no stamp). I paid $150 for three engraved items that 1. they misspelled 2. they never sent a confirmation email or shipment email so I didn't even realize the transaction was completed. When I called they said the items were non refundable and refused to work with me. Deal with a reputable jeweler, this obviously is not one.

Incomplete Order

TORRANCE, CALIFORNIA -- Ordered a coin bezel for a gold coin, it arrived without the screw to secure the coin in the bezel. I asked for the screw to be provided to me, was told, “We don't have extra screws.” I had the bezel completed by local mall jewelry store, they even declined to charge me. This local store, made the coin bezel complete, and saved a little girl's birthday. Thank you, Jewelry Works, Oaks Mall, Gainesville Florida. And thumbs down, to Joy Jewelers, you brought no Joy to me and my granddaughter.
