Screwed my Daughter

COUNCIL BLUFFS, IOWA -- Your first car buying experience should be one of the best. My daughter went to Lake Manawa Nissan and dealt with Teddy. He sold her way too much car and was talked in to a high payment. She was also supposed to have an extended warranty on her Nissan Juke. This was changed at the last minute and her payments did not go down. Here we are 2 years later and she can't afford the car. It has health issues and she is upside down on the loan. Went back to talk to dealership and they said they could do nothing. I would not recommend this dealer to my worst enemy.

COUNCIL BLUFFS, NEBRASKA -- I purchased a Chevy Cruze 2011 July 29, 2013. I take in for an oil change every 3,000 miles. I take it in for a oil change May 19, 2015. The service department calls me and says that they are going to keep my car because there is a leakage. My extended warranty provided me a rental car.

Three days later I get the car back May 22, 2015 and my car is still misfiring and overheating. They say they won't fix it because it is my fault that I drove the vehicle while overheating when they gave the car back to me in those conditions. Now my cosigner's name is on the line because I am unable to pay and fix a car that does not run and I have a large loan for it. They still deny that they are not going to fix it and I have the power train warranty. I will never go back to Lake Manawa Nissan for choosing a car again. I'm a single female in college and I do not have the expenses to fix this vehicle.

Worst Car Buying Experience Ever

COUNCIL BLUFFS, IOWA -- My husband and I were interested in purchasing a new vehicle for our family and I recently submitted an online application, to which we heard no response. On Friday night, Oct 19 we visited Lake Manawa office and spoke with **. When we arrived at the office, we made sure we were clear about our expectations, we told them we would like to keep our payment around $350, we didn't really want to put any money down and we were trading in our current vehicle. Before even test driving the vehicle we told them these expectations and that if they couldn't get close to these we were fine with that but didn't want to waste either of our time.

We filled out the application and we were assured they would be able to get close to our prior outlined expectations. I also would like to mention we arrived at about 7pm and we had our 20 month old daughter with us. ** also indicated they pulled up the vehicle they would be closet to our expectations with which was a 2013 Kia Sorento. He then took us on a test drive without showing us any numbers of course.

We got back and they worked out the estimates, what they would give us for the trade in, what the vehicle would cost, etc. We have now been at the office for about 1 hr 45 min and we still have not seen any numbers. We are constantly assured it will be close to our expectations though.

So once they finally have the deal written out, it is an absolute joke (I don't remember exact figures). But the lowest payment was around $600 plus we would have to come up with $1500 down and they indicated we had negative equity of $8900 for our current vehicle. Now back in the beginning when I clearly outlined my expectations, told them I wanted a Sorento or a Sportage and gave them all the details of payment amount, trade-in, and no down payment we thought we were on the same page.

This is NOT even close to what I had said. I was extremely frustrated, told them they were not even close, even though we were constantly assured it would be, and we picked up all of our stuff and started walking out the door. I told ** everything I disagreed with to which he proceeded to argue with me about and was totally unprofessional. I think he should be able to understand the fact that I was upset given the prior outlined information. I don't play games, I don't lie, I am not deceitful. But clearly these are all acceptable things in your place of employment.

You can rest assured I have begun and will continue to tell everyone I know about your deceitful practices and poor service. Not only did he flat out lie and not meet any of my expectations, but he also was rude and flat out started arguing with me in front of my young daughter saying if I would just give him time to explain and I need to understand we have negative equity and poor credit. Come on now, I tell you $350 is what I want to pay and you come with a $600 a month payment with $1500 down that is just plain ridiculous.

I am clearly frustrated, upset and disappointed with your company as a whole. Since we spoke with you we have received 2 follow up emails from ** thanking for our business, etc. Really? Is this the type of behaviour you encourage in your business?

Customer Service Review

This is a review of Lake Manawa in Council Bluffs Iowa. First we got suckered into buying multiple cars from this lot. I will have never had a more confusing process in my life. This people are corrupted to the core and will say anything to get your foot in the door. The sales people are very deceptive and will try to get you to sign multiple documents before they even tell you the price. Don'€™t do it!!!!! I would not sign a thing especially if it is a first time buyer. We have not even got to the bad part yet.

I had several problems with their so called customer service. First I took the afternoon off so I could get some items fixed on my car. We had made an appointment two weeks before, a normal wait for any service from them.
When I showed up to the service center I had to wait about 10 minutes before any customer service representative got to my issue. I confirmed my service that I would be receiving and asked if they could also wash my vehicle. They said that it would be an hour and a half before they would have the issues fixed. I thought that sounded right considering the service.

I waited for about an hour and to my surprise they had finished early. So I thinking, wow they actually care about my business because they were so speedy with the repair. Until I went outside, my car was not washed; the repairs to my car had not been made. I am thinking what the heck they had been doing for an hour with my car. I went back inside and told them that nothing was fixed nor washed. You know what they said, "o, you wanted that fixed? We just changed your oil". The guy was rude and said "O well, we will call you when we get that part in". No "sorry sir, I will get your car washed and car fixed" just blew me off.

This is the way they treat their customers that spend over 40000.00 dollars there. This place is hazardous to customer's health! I called the customer service manager to complain. I get another rude rep. She has the audacity to tell me, "o well, it needed an oil change anyway". I cannot believe this place has not been reported more often. O by the way, they have had 18 complaints through the BBB. Please save yourself the trouble...
Their free oil changes not so free.

Actually they denied me them because I wrote a supposedly wrote a off colored review. Manager is a piece of work, knows nothing about customer service or defusing a situation. I will never buy another car from them or recommend them to anyone. Just don'™t do it.

Worst ever car buying experience

COUNCIL BLUFFS, IOWA -- This is a review on my experience at the dealership called Lake Manawa Kia, Council Bluffs, IA. I went to this dealership to purchase a new Kia Spectra. They wanted me to sign various "mutual agreements" even before talking about anything. They wanted me to sign a statement "I will sign to purchase the car today" even before talking about the price or availability of the car. When I refused, the salesman called the manager who tried to intimidate and virtually threaten me.

When I started leaving the dealership (with my girlfriend), he still came after me yelling about how he would beat any price from the other dealer I talked. Never, ever go to this dealership even if you get the "best deal" (as they'd tell you over the phone). If you went, DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING until you are 200% sure that's what you want. Read everything they give you (even business cards) very carefully. You wouldn't know until you are trapped, which will happen within minutes. This dealership has no sales ethics, and the person who calls himself Manager is morally bankrupt & does not know how to talk to his customers. Horrendous place! Avoid at all costs.

Horrible Service

COUNCIL BLUFFS, IOWA -- They wanted me to sign papers without explaining what they were for. Got upset when I tried to read them and was asking questions. Then tried to cash my check for the deposit 2 weeks after the purchase when they said they would wait 4 weeks. The business as a whole is a terrible representation of what customer service should be. They are out to make a sale at any costs. They make false promises and do not hold true to what they said they would do.

They made inappropriate inquires to my personal life and were downright rude when I was ready to walk off the lot. They were intimidating and condescending in their closing and couldn't be bothered to explain in detail the loan and its stipulations. If there was anyway I could return the car to them and go somewhere else I would knowing what I know now.

COUNCIL BLUFFS, IOWA -- I found this review site while I was looking for a good place to put in my 2 cents. I thought it was funny that this one was called 3 cents... so I decided to speak my mind here. I thought that the sales process was quick and easy. I called prior to showing up so they had the vehicle washed, gassed up, and ready to go. We worked on the numbers in **'s office and that was that. It was early in the morning so I got right through the finance department too.
