Epson Complaint - Vanishing Ink - C88 inkjet printer
NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- After two frustrating calls to Epson technical support and customer service, I'm throwing up my hands in disgust!
I've had the C88 printer for all of 3 weeks now and have printed max 30 sheets, all in B&W except for the initial test page. My printer is set to print only in B&W.
After week one, I was forced to replace the black cartridge I had printed a total of maybe 20 sheets at that point. And the cartridge had a lot of ink left in it.
Now, only two weeks after that, ALL THREE COLOR CARTRIDGES are at HALF FULL!
Epson claims that the color inks are used to make B&W copies -- are they kidding? Then I was told that the print heads use a little colored ink in order to stay moist -- maybe so, but half a cartridge of each color in a period of 3 weeks?
Then I was told that the first batch of inks fill the ink well, making it look like there is less than there is...
I don't believe any of it and I asked customer service to send me a replacement or authorization to have a service center look it over. Fine, I was told, you can have it checked out at your expense. Or we'll refund your purchase price 6 weeks after you send us your original receipt and we have our request for refund approved -- no telling how long that will take--, but we will not refund the tax paid. When I told the rep I was unhappy with the choices they presented, she hung up. Unbelievable!
Does this sound familiar to anyone else out there?
If this Epson's idea of customer service, then I'll shop elsewhere. And spread the word to save others from having to go through the same thing.
