Horrible Customer Service

POTOSI, MISSOURI -- I don't know where to begin. Stopped Sunday evening around 7pm. Cashier rang up order incorrectly with 2 milkshakes instead of one. Took maybe 6 minutes to fix this. Realized price was too high after paying. She had also rang up a 1/3 lb. cheeseburger instead of small cheeseburger. When I told cashier I think she overcharged us, she said nothing. Then when I mentioned it again to the young man working, I was told receipt would come out with order.

Saw order sitting there behind two employees for a while, maybe 5 minutes or so. When I asked if that was my food, he replied, "Yes," and did nothing. Then, I asked if I could have the food, the young man says, "I was going to bring to you," and proceeded to stand and look at me. Finally, he turned to grab the food and I told him I would take it, he gave it to me. When I again asked for the receipt to check my order, because no one at this point didn't seem to care I was overcharged by around $3.00, another customer waiting to order told me it was in the basket with my burger.

When I told the employee it was the wrong menu item on the counter, they said nothing. The original young girl cashier went to tell the manager (I had to guess at this point, because still nothing was told to me). Manager finally came out with a cheeseburger in hand and set it on the edge of the back counter (not under the heat lamps) and proceeded to do something else besides give me the cheeseburger. I went to sit with my family to eat my food because it was getting cold. My child had to wait to eat since her cheeseburger was on the back counter.

Finally, the girl cashier brought over the change and receipt and set on my table in front of me and walked off, NOT saying ONE WORD. My mother responded, "She didn't even apologize." Which I had realized. So, I went up to notify the manager, who said, "So." Then I asked for the contact information for the owner of the store. I was told by manager it was at the bottom of my receipt. When I asked her name, she didn't respond and looked right at me. I was looking at her right shoulder because her first name was embroidered on it and found that it was, "Tracy." She knew at that point that I knew her name, even though she was unwilling to give it to me.

I then proceeded to let her know I was going to give her a failing grade for her customer service as I am here in this venue and all other reviews of this particular fast food restaurant. As I walked away from the counter, manager said, "What is she going to do to me? I've worked here for 16 years. She can't touch me." Without an apology ever received for the inconvenience, I sat back down and proceeded to email the owner of the restaurant. Have yet to hear back. I will never frequent this restaurant again and I will tell everyone I know of the horrible customer service at this Hardee's in Potosi, Missouri.

BELHAVEN, NORTH CAROLINA -- I realize that these days many restaurants give drive through customers less than adequate food, I'm assuming because most people won't take the time to bring it back after they've gotten it home and the restaurant saves money. The ham and cheese sandwiches that we purchased through the drive through today had very little meat on them and a partial piece of cheese that was semi-melted in the microwave. As if that weren't bad enough, the sandwiches were flat. Not even the bun was good, and I remember eating them often back in the day when they were actually good. I will not be wasting my money there again.

SPARTANBURG, SOUTH CAROLINA -- My husband brought home food from Hardee's two nights ago, a cheeseburger for me and a hot ham and cheese for him. As I took it out of the bag it felt... thin. After opening it I discovered 1, as in single, piece of ham sitting in the middle of a large bun. I kid you not, that was it. I promptly took a picture of this sad sad excuse for food... I will never waste my money on their dog food again, I hope this kind of service puts them out of business, if they don't care why should I?

One of the Worst Restaurant Experiences I Have Ever Endured

COPPERHILL, TENNESSEE -- I went to Hardee's for a burger and fries, and some small burgers for my dogs. I like bacon but not the plastic cheese found on fast food so I must order a bacon cheeseburger, hold the cheese, which I did. I realized upon opening the bag that they had failed to include the small burgers so I had to go back for them. My fries were slightly warmer than room temp, limp as a wet noodle, and tasted like they had been cooked in last year's oil. The burger was resting in a pale, soggy bun that fell apart when I tried to pick it up, due to the mass amount of mustard it had drowned in.

I had been starving; but by then my stomach felt ill from the rancid oil and my appetite disappeared. It was a waste of my time and money, and an infuriating experience altogether. I am an eternal optimist, so I must look on the bright side of it all. I'm on a diet, so my rear end thanks Hardee's for keeping me on track. Also, my dogs had no complaints at all, 😘.

Expensive and Cold

RANTOUL, ILLINOIS -- I visited the Hardee's in Rantoul, Illinois around 12:45 am on a Friday night. I first attempted to order at the drive thru, but the speaker was broken. I pulled up and ordered from the window. One of the employees was outside of the drive thru walk-in door and was smoking. I ordered two combos and the total was over 23.00. I was shocked. I reduced the order to just 2 sandwiches and one fry and the total was still 19.00.

The sandwiches were decent as far as quality, but the fries that I received were cold. Not only that, but they only filled it about half full and did not expand the box so that the container was still flat. For 19.00 I should have enough fries to feed four people. I think Hardee's needs to examine their costs and determine if they want to be fast food or a sit down style establishment..

SPARTANBURG, SOUTH CAROLINA -- Steak biscuit: steak hard as a rock, biscuits hard, bacon/egg/cheese biscuits missing the bacon and slapped together so that the cheese is all on the paper wrap and not on the biscuits. Hash rounds were cold and the whole entire breakfast was not even edible! Then, I could not call to complain because the phone had been set to fax mode preventing call-in complaints. I took the "food" back down there and asked to see the manager at the drive-thru. She said she could not come over to the window but I could come in if I wanted to.

By this time all I wanted was my money back... This Hardee's on Reidville Rd in Spartanburg is the worst Hardee's I have ever been to... But I will never go back to another one when their managers even refuse to come and speak to an unhappy customer. I go to the drive-thru because their seating area is always filthy. No more!

WASHINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA -- Very disappointed by a recent visit to Hardee's #1505843 in Washington, NC. Ordered a chicken club sandwich combo at the drive-thru. I noticed when I took the bag that it felt very light. The fries were hot so I started on those first. After a minute, I opened the box that contained the sandwich. Surprise! It was terrible. The chicken looked like hamburger because it was burnt. Very small piece that was charred and tough. The lettuce was 2 small pieces of the thick stalk parts. The bacon was fat. Absolutely terrible. Avoid this place. Don't spend your hard-earned money on their dog food.

GLEN CARBON, ILLINOIS -- I ordered a 10 piece chicken tenders and was very very disappointed. To begin with 10 chicken tenders for $12.95 is way over priced... But when I got the box home I was even more disappointed with the quality of this chicken. They were very small pieces of chicken and also dried up like they were from the bottom of the pan or tray. They should not have even been served to customers in my opinion. I most likely will not go to Hardee's again. I have not been to Hardee's for a while and now I know why I never see many cars in their parking lot or drive thru. I would appreciate some kind of response to my bad experience. Thank you.

No Wonder Hardee's Doesn't Have Any Business

HOMEWOOD, AL -- Pulled up to window, paid and was asked to pull down so the window could keep serving cars. The kid that finally came out with my food was texting on his phone as he walked out the door. He handed me my food so I said thank you, never spoke and never took his eyes off his phone. He turned and walked away without speaking. It may have been the rudest thing I have ever seen. This is why I go to Chick-fil-A all the time. They teach service. I don't know how the manager at this Hardee's is but they are responsible for this type of behavior and shouldn't be in management.

FRANKLIN, NORTH CAROLINA -- 9:00 AM Entered drive thru and as customary - long wait with only 3 vehicles ahead of me. Had a coupon for biscuit and gravy. Was told they were out (at 9:00?). Ordered 1 bacon & egg biscuit no cheese. Wait time excessive. At the window I again stated "no cheese" to which he growled yeah, and took the.biscuit to the kitchen (I assume). Now I have my biscuit, drive off. Stopped to check my food and found a egg & cheese biscuit.

I am lactose intolerant so yes a big deal. Returned to line, requested refund. They did offer to make me another biscuit; however I had spent enough of my time (20 min) at Hardee's. Went to Mcdonalds, got biscuit & gravy within 7 minutes. This event (slow service) is known well by others. At all meals.
