Best Car Wash Informative - Damage from car wash

Review by woolfgang on 2006-05-20
FALLS CHURCH, VIRGINIA -- Best Car Wash, 3009 Annandale Rd., Falls Church, VA 22042, badly scratched my $30,000 truck by using a drying rag with gravel or grit in it. Although I discovered it and returned immediately to the car wash, with no intervening stops, the owner refused even to look at the damage, and insisted that only clean rags are used, which I know to be a lie from seeing rags being reused on multiple vehicles on previous visits to the car wash.

Unfortunately that is the problem with car washes and there is usually a big sign saying they are not liable for ANY damage. That is why I wash my own car.

If you had seen them use dirty rags in the past why did you go there?

I know what your saying! I went a local car was and the car wash it's self scratch my truck, they said there was nothing inside the car was that could have done that, well I'm here to tell you that scrach was not their b-4 I went through the wash. I got home and went right back and they said well "SORRY" but we didn't do it, my sister inlaw had the door shut on her car and they tried to blam it on her, it put a dent in the hood, the door just came down when her light was green to go after washing, but she did go to court on that one because the door just keep going up and down on her car and she could move because it would have made it worse

So long as cars cost $30K and up...I'll wash my own. The rags are always clean and, if the car gets damaged, I can yell at the responsible party in the mirror when I shave. The put those big signs up for a reason.
