HORRIBLE PAINT JOB

HAGERSTOWN, MARYLAND -- This was a nightmare. it started off that kyle seemed like such a sweet person only to find out how he lied upon lie. I was so surprised at how he turned out to be. he made my husband and I deals if we would bring our van, truck, trailer and golf cart in he would give us a good price on painting them. in the meantime my tahoe got side swiped so he said he would talke care of that also. we trusted him cause we thought he was a good person. well as it turns out. the horse trailer took forever as did everything else he did. they would tell you it would be done in 4 days and it wouldn't be done for 3 weeks. the trailer came back pitted as you can see in the pictures and now rust is coming through. kyle said he would take care of it and then told us he wouldn't at the end of all the mess. told us it wasn't under warranty . the van had to be painted twice due to runs in the paint, over spray and numerous missed spots that I don't know how anyone could miss. then to top it off the rose color had numerous scratches, and bubble in the paint and they cracked the spoiler. again he promised to repaint all the rose trim and back out on his promise. the van took a good 4 weeks and was suppose to be done in a week. and came back a mess. and we had problems with it running after we got it back. the one employee named ray is rude and has no idea how to treat customers. we had it out with him a few times. we feel he might have tampered with our vehicle. can't prove it, but it ran well until something was put in our gas tank to try and mess up our engine. luckily we could have it fixed. then the golf cart which they never even sanded down before they painted it and had to be gone over 4 times. he waived the fee he was going to charge us for the golf cart cause it was horrible and there was no way to lie his way out of it. it too is rusting due to the fact that the paint job was not done right. our dually took 4 weeks because they kept missing spots on it, the paint bubble in different spots and they forgot to paint in between the be and the cab. then to top it off when I questioned about what they were going to do about the stuff that wasn't taken care of they kept telling me they were going to take care of it and then months later told me they werent. I was also told that the reason they could do a good price on some it was they made the estimate to the insurance company from my tahoe, higher so they could put the overage towards the golf cart and van. and when all of this was going on. kyle gave me his cellphone number so I could contact him personally because of all the way things were being handled by ray. well then he stopped taking my calls cause his wife thought we were messing around. REALLY ?????? so he wasn't allowed to talk to me until I messaged her and told her I was a happily married woman and I didn't appreicate being accused of messing around with her husband. I thought he was just being nice giving me the number. I have all the conversations and never was there anything to make her believe that. no real conversations other then business. and nothing at all suggestive. when I told his wife what was going on with him not going through with the promises she said she doesn't get involved with the business. but she made him stop responding to me cause she thought he was messing around on her . then I also had to deal with ray who would hang up or use vulgar language and was totally rude and disrespectful. I have more pictures and all my bill of sales for anyone to see. I will be going to the insurance company and reporting him for fraud and possibly taking this to court. word to the wise don't deal with this business. there is so much more I could put here, but I think you will get the just of it. I just called kyle and tried to give him one more chance to make it right, before I give my review and he still refuses to do so. 10 min later ray called me back and threatened me told me not to do this review. or I will be sorry

WINSTON SALEM, NORTH CAROLINA -- Blatant Unprofessionalism……
I don't know where to start. I am not a writer so bear with me. Paint on the windows, carpet, inside the doors, tires (driver front and rear), wheel wells, brake caliper (driver front) and for the life of me I can't figure out how the door sill trim got cracked it must have been hit with something.
This is a 1996 BMW Z3 painted at 1650 Silas Creek Pkwy in Winston Salem, NC. 336 939 6474 The project was wrote up by Alex Mabe. The job was to install an after-market bumper cover, address the driver side door for a dent and paint the car. I delivered the car on 1/15/2016. After 2 weeks or so (02/02/2016) I decided to call to see what was going on since I hadn't heard a word. I talked to Alex and inquired on the progress of the vehicle.
Alex said that he had called me 2 or 3 times to let me know the vehicle was ready. I never received a call from Alex. I asked him if he had left a message; Alex stated “with the type of phone that he had he was incapable of leaving a voice message”… WHAT the hell is that? At that point I knew something was wrong. Alex said that the car had been ready for a few days. I asked him about the bumper cover and he said that it was ready for pick up. I told him fine I would be there shortly. I live about 20 minutes away. I arrive at MAACO and see the car. The bumper cover was hanging off of the front of the car and had been PAINTED! I head inside to talk to Alex and the owner informed me that he had sent Alex home sick and that he would take care of the matter. So I informed the owner that I had just talked to Alex 20 minutes ago and he told me the car was ready for pickup. The owner explained to me how he tried to get the bumper cover on and that they could not do it. So why did you paint it? He blew up told me my vehicle was a piece of a crap simply because he didn't have the skills to install the bumper cover. I did not deserve this. I did nothing wrong.
When it came to the point that there was nothing else that could be done all work should have ceased and I should have been contacted IMMEDIATELEY it never happened. Now I have to find someone else to install the bumper cover hope and pray it can be done without a re-spray, hope that the re-spray matches my freshly painted car and continue to address the cleaning of the carpets, fix the cracked sill trim and clean the paint off my tires, windows, door and brake caliper.
This was by far the most unprofessional service I have ever had. I have had 2 (two) vehicles painted by MAACO before and never experienced such rude and disrespectful individuals in my life. I'm 59 years old.
If you guys condone this type of behavior it is really sad. I did nothing to deserve this. If you guys don't want people of color in your establishment just put up a sign. This is the only explanation for this treatment.
I did not deserve this……
I will be sending a copy of this letter to the Better Business Bureau….

JACKSON, MICHIGAN -- Jessie was honest and patience with helping pick out the perfect color for my car, it took me 3 to 4 days to figure out what color of purple I was going to get it painted, Jessie sent me a perfect color and my dream car color. They made my car look like a 3,000 paint job, when it only cost me 800. Best place to go if you want affordable paint job and great service. :) Raphe was helpful too.

Paint Job

GLENDALE, ARIZONA -- After paying off my '07 Pathfinder, I wanted to get some things done so, I took it in for a rear bumper cover replacement and a paint job. The truck was originally white and I wanted it to be a matte black. I even had the jambs, and under the hood being done. The total was $2,252.81 so I do expected a great job, NOT what I got.

There are a lot of spots that just somehow were missed in various parts of the truck, and under the hood was not complete. There is black paint on my passenger front seat, the driver's seat, and on the passenger and driver's side of the second row seating. It's obviously shoe prints. There is paint on some of the doors interior too. There are a few noticeable "nibs" on the hood. There was a clear liquid that had run down one door and drips of it on other areas.

I found a piece of black foam that came from somewhere on my truck and I am going to take it into Fletchers on Wednesday to have them go over my truck. I have no idea how the jackasses managed to crack the piece that goes around my radio but, they did! I just had my sound system completely redone by The Geek Squad so I know for a fact it was NOT cracked!

The cargo area is a mess. There's even some kind of hard, white stuff on it. The weather stripping is missing most of the clips to hold it in place and one of the larger pieces was flat out broke so now that all needs to be replaced. I have been back once but their customer service and especially the lack of care for a person's vehicle! Is just crap!!! They have been around for a really long time so you honestly just assume they are going to actually give a ** and treat your vehicle with respect.

Poor Mgt, Destroyed Brand New Interior

AUSTIN, TEXAS -- First ** was awesome at the 10200 N. Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX Location - he should be the manager. Took my 84 Corvette in to be painted and spoiler installed. Got a call that an additional $300 would be needed for the install, they had to take off the whole bumper. I questioned this to the manager ** (sweet guy) that you could access through the tail lights. His response was he was not going to put his guy in an uncomfortable position, knowing damn well if I said do it they would have gone through the tail lights.

Well got the call to come get it. When I got there it looked good except for the runs and pop up bubbles, so another week to repaint, which I was ok with - it was getting fixed. Picked it up yesterday, 11-19-2014. I had a towel down since no seats and BRAND NEW INTERIOR INSTALLED - I hope you read that. I left work early today to install seats and to my surprise the interior was TRASHED. Are you kidding me? The whole Corvette had ALL new interior installed days before it went to Maaco.

I called right away and spoke to **. I knew this would go nowhere. I told him that the drivers side was covered in dust or primer or whatever that would not come up after I scrubbed it. The rear hatch carpet had some glue or adhesive or window seal all over it and of course they use no such material. Told him I had pics and not good enough, wanted to see the car.

A 3rd drive to N. Austin, 40 minutes with no seats? I don't think so. Lets be honest, I would have got there and there would be no responsibility accepted from this guy so I would drive bake 40 minutes with no result. Thank you Maaco, I did fix it. I had to buy FABRIC PAINT FOR MY BRAND NEW INTERIOR for an 84 Corvette. You are AWESOME. I'm not a manager at Maaco but if I was, I WOULD PUT PLASTIC DOWN!!!

I don't expect anything to come of this so I am just going to use the internet to voice my opinion. Also I am active duty so take the 'Thank our troops appreciation' down on Facebook, you don't even offer a military discount buddy. Again **, thanks - he has great customer service and took care of a lot. The manager, JOKE.

Great Service, Great Paint Job

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS -- I brought my classic 1966 Ford Thunderbird that I am very proud of for a repaint. ** is the manager of the Maaco located at, 7490 FM 1560 N, San Antonio, TX 78254. He was very interested in my business and showed a true desire to do a good job for me. Although I live 30 miles from there, he was willing to take me home and pick me up when the car was ready. This was a big selling point for me as everyone I know works during the day, so I had no other way to leave and retrieve the car.

It took a few more days to do the job than originally thought, but the extra time was well worth it. When the car was ready, ** volunteered to deliver the car to my home which was an extra convenience I wouldn't have ever expected. When I saw it, I could hardly believe it was the same car. He told me to look it over for the next week and to let him know of any flaws I found. He would correct them while I waited. I found a few very minor flaws, and good for his word, he worked on them while I waited. Once again, he told me that if I found anything that needed additional attention to bring it back and he will fix it. I have no doubt he will honor his word.

All businesses should have the integrity and great customer service that ** gave to me. I am very proud to show the beautiful Maaco paint job I got to others in the classic car clubs I belong to. It isn't as perfect as the $8,000 to $10,000 paint jobs on show cars, but then I didn't pay nearly that amount, and I am very happy with my car.

I am spreading the word to everyone not only of the great paint job, but of the unbelievable quality of service ** gave to me. Hopefully it will bring him some well-deserved business. It is very seldom I that I am willing to endorse anyone as enthusiastically as I do **. If I could give a rating higher than 5 I would.

Horrible Paint Job, Repair

LINDEN, NEW JERSEY -- I brought my SUV to Maaco in Linden, NJ last year for repair of rust, complete paint job, and some repairs. I was given the runaround each time I went to pick up the SUV. It took at least 3 times going back and forth to see the owner and resolve the issues of a sloppy paint job, cracked luggage rack, side view mirror that vibrates, and within 4 months, the rust that was supposed to be repaired and painted is now rusted again in the exact same place.

After dealing with the owner and getting nowhere, I contacted Customer Service and their response was that the rust is only covered for 3 months at most. I purchased the 5 year warranty and paid cash which was my first mistake, but nowhere in the contract does it say anything about rust coverage which I assumed was what the 5 year warranty meant.

I contacted the BBB but Maaco did not respond. I will now contact Consumer Affairs. This company is clearly unreliable and does not stand by their horrible work. After seeing the president Jose Costa on "Undercover Boss" last week, I became more infuriated since he praises this company highly and does nothing of what he perceives. I will also try to contact him. Stay away from any of these dealers as they are franchised and no one cares!!!

My Maaco Paint Jobs

GROVETOWN, GEORGIA -- Over the years I have had my car painted by Maaco. My first $200 paint job was a basic complete painting of my car. I did not have any real complaints. The car looked great as the years went on. The paint started showing that was not going to hold up. I had the same car painted again. This time it did not come out looking the best as it could. Maaco took it back and gave me the top of the line paint job at their cost. I drove that vehicle for years it always looked clean all the time. It just was a great paint job and held up. It always looked as if it was just painted years later.

Ten years ago I purchased a Ford Bronco II. It was just had been painted by Maaco. It was the top of the line paint job. After ten years it still looked great. The person I purchased this car from said he and Maaco were not getting along. He had complaints, he had bumped heads with them until he was happy and they corrected the issues. It is a crap shoot! You take your chances to save money.

Worst Job Ever

PASADENA, TEXAS -- They are the most unreliable service and job ever. The total time of painting and fixing their job is 2 months or more and still can't get it right. I've had nothing but the runaround, and in the end they'll tell you "This is what you get in $1,200 job."

They will advise you after they take your money, (should have gone to dealer) so they justify their incompetence with bunch of words. As I sat there, I saw so many other customers unhappy with their work, and I heard nothing but lame excuses such as "It was raining," or "A painter drama." The manager says "I would have gone with $2,500 platinum paint job." I said "I am glad I didn't because you would have come up with other excuses." And I spoke to the owner himself, a man with lots of tricks under his sleeves.

Please don't spend/waste/throw your money and precious time at this place. I called corporate office for a complaint and describe all the problems. According to them, they will resolve the issues. But, when they called me back they said they are just the mediators who just receives and deliver messages from the shops and in the favor of their own. They said they couldn't do anything because the shop owner says they did their best job and some imperfections may be there, and yet the whole job is disaster. They play with people's hard earned money.
