all shopping websites Complaint - U.S. vs Cndn. dollar

Review by girliemac@aol.com on 2001-12-09
Why do web sites not stipulate that their items are priced in U.S. dollars. Canadians have Canadian web sites and we have no way of knowing if the web site we're using is American or not. We go to all the trouble of scanning the ads, filling out forms, and upon going to the cashier we may find out it's in U.S. funds which makes it far too costly for a Canadian because of the exchange.

To help keep me as a potential future customer, I would like the following:

The opening page should stipulate 'All prices are in U.S./Canadian dollars.

At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident. Thank you for your time.

Good point. I guess we take things for granted sometimes. I agree with you, it should be more clearly marked, especially when dealing with a potentially global online market.

If in doubt ask! I don't think you should assume that prices would be in Canadian dollars.

I am SO glad I am not Canadian.
