Trans World Airlines Complaint - In flight service
SEATTLE, WASHINGTON -- On November 18, 2001, I flew from St. Louis to Seattle on a flight that left at approximately 5 p.m. (TWA flight number 3053).
Unfortunately, the customer service was not not performed well on the flight because the only male flight attendant, named Eli (unsure of spelling), was extremely impolite to many of the passengers, including myself.
In my case, the attendant was walking down the aisle with a trash bag, and it looked to me like he was collecting trash. He did not make it clear to people that he was collecting headsets instead. So when I handed him a cup to throw away, he snatched it out of my hand and stormed off to the front of the plane.
After he threw it away, he came back to my seat and yelled at me that I was the third person to hand him trash and that he was trying to collect headsets. I told him that there is no need to be rude, that if he was collecting headsets he should let everyone know. I also told him that he could have just asked nicely for me to hold onto the trash until he came back around again.
I have flown for many years, and this is the first time I have ever encountered such an extremely impolite flight attendant.
When I got off the plane I asked the agents at the counter for a complaint card, which they were out of, and several other passengers overheard me talk about the flight attendant. These passengers came to me and told me other stories of the attendant's behavior. One other person had overheard the same attendant cursing on the phone in front of other passengers. Another passenger came up to me to tell me that the way Eli treated me was uncalled for.
The bad customer service I received on your airline will definitely affect whether or not I choose to fly with TWA or American again.
