Home Depot Informative - Worst online shopping experience
I have never experienced and online order dept. that is even close to being as bad as Home Depots.
I order a 10 BTU A/C that is a "Q" chassis (specifies size) 5/5/2006.
5/12/200 the wrong A/C arrived - larger 12BTU that I can't use. I called their Customer service number 800-430-3376. The initial recording states they are having exceptional call volume and the wait can be extensive. Was it ever!
I waited 40 minutes to talk with a human. I was given RA # for return of the incorrect item and was told it would be picked up by the 19th. I was told they picked the wring item in the warehouse and they would ship me the correct item.
5/22/2006 a second incorrect A/C arrived. It was the same wrong unit. I called again and waited 1 hour this time to talk with someone. This time I was told the online shopping web page was the problem and the item number sent to shipping for my order was not the item number I ordered. I was given RA # for return of the incorrect item. I advised them I did not want another one shipped since I had lost confidence in their ability to do this order correctly.
Today is 6/5 2006 and neither incorrect item has been picked up. I called and waited 35 minutes this time to talk to someone. As of this time I have spent 2 hours and 15 minutes of my time waiting to talk to someone to correct their error.
My credit card has been charged about $500 total for these 2 A/C units and remains on my account as of today. If those charges are not reversed by 6/10/2006, I will dispute the charges via my credit card company.
