Bill Me Later Complaint - Failure to credit online payments
I have dealt with this company for some time now with no trouble. In April, my online payment was not credited. They, in turn, charged me a $19 late fee. After sending proof from my bank that it was indeed paid, they said they needed more proof. What else would there be other than the transation my bank made when it made the payment. I have called and emailed them numerous times to no avail. I am thinking about hiring an attorney and suing them if I thought it would do any good. This is almost $40 I'm not getting credit for including the late fee. I will never deal with this company again. Be warned against making online payments to this company.
One respondent who read this review said suing them over $40 was excessive. What about them turning me over to a collection agency and getting a black mark on my credit? Would that then still be considered excessive? I've sent all the information I have on it that my bank provided me with. There's nothing else I can do other than refuse to pay the $20 again or the late charges, which they said they would remove as a courtesy. It's not a courtesy when it was their mistake in the first place that led to the late charge.
