Tandooi Nights Restaurant Complaint - Refusal to pay for services rendered

Review by Buddy4us on 2006-06-08
ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA -- This company has done renovation in their restaurant, and although the work we provided was completed within the specified agreed amount of money & time, and they are satisfied with our services, they have refused to pay. We have incurred thousands of dollars in expenses for salaries, and paid for their materials to be used in their restaurant, yet they continue to not pay. People with such low ethics do not deserve to have success in their business. Essentially we have paid for his redecorating. I wonder if this was his intention from the start? I would not recommend this restaurant to any person asked to do business with this man/business nor for any customers to frequent the place! BOYCOTT THIS BUSINESS!

Hmmmm...how about your truck legally parked right out front of his restaurant with a big sign that says "I can't afford to eat here - the restaurant didn't pay me for their remodeling job"? I wonder how many nights of that he could stand. OR, you could always take him to court.

I've done work for a cuple of small restaurants and the odds of getting paid are about 50/50/ All I work for is small business and restaurants are the worst. It's like big chians don't pay much and little ones don't pay at all. There have been a few that are great but like I say it's 50/50.

Make signs and tell the patrons that they need not pay. Tell them he doesn't believe in paying for services rendered, therefore there is no need to pay for services rendered at his place.

Well, running them out of business will assure that you never get paid. Contact your state's attorney general and pursue them from that end.

I'm pretty sure that this is what contracts and court are for...

Take a big group in to this restaurant and eat a huge meal. Then leave without paying. First, have everyone in your group pay you for their meal. Leave a 12-cent tip. Steal some ketchup, and do what Debtor says, take some toilet paper too.

You learn fast, Sheriff....I'm impressed!

In addition to what Sheriff suggests: Leave a note on the table with a phone number for outsourced CS...in India.
