Macy's Furniture Worry No More Crap

SAN MATEO, CALIFORNIA -- I purchased a sofa bed and dining table over 7 years ago. I purchased the Worrynomore contract to keep it clean. THAT WAS A BIG MISTAKE. The contract states that if you do NOT use the contract in 7 years, you can ask for the money back, in full after 7 years. Unfortunately, I waited an extra year. They declined my request for a refund since I was too long in asking for it. I want to know, why? I get it about the contract date, but how many people can remember to manage that after 7 years. They suck and they stole my money. What a scam. I went to complain to Macy's but that is impossible too. They suck too.

Worry No More Protection plan is a SCAM!!

PALM BEACH GARDENS, FLORIDA -- I purchased both the Structural Plan Protection as well as the WNM Great give back 7 year accidental protection plan for my reclining sofa. After calling and being given the runaround by countless individuals, I finally was able to file a claim for an internal mechanism issue that was in need of repair or replacement. They emailed me a link to submit a video/photos in order to complete the claim. I did as instructed then, received an email stating my claim was denied because of it being out of the time frame of 15 days of the "incident." I called and again after over an hour and a half of being passed around from agent to agent and being placed on hold multiple times, I attempted to clarify that fact that when asked about the date of the "incident" I stated the first of the month as a general statement due to the fact that there was no "incident" that occurred. I was then told that my claim would forever remain to be denied because they was literally nobody that could correct the date of "incident" to be within a 15 day window from when I called. I was told very sarcastically by a supervisor that she can't fix my mistakes and that I'm the one with the furniture so I should know when something happened to it. She then said that it would be my problem to deal with by paying their technician out of pocket to fix the issue. This is an absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable response as well as completely HORRIBLE customer service!! Macy's has obviously trained these employees to seek out any small technicality with claims made by their customers in order to deny the claim and avoid actually honoring the protection coverage that was paid for. I will NEVER shop at Macy's again and will continue to make sure that everyone I meet is made aware of what a terrible place Macy's is to purchase furniture from, as well as, that their "protection plans" are a complete SCAM!!! Customer Service is absolutely NON-EXISTANT at Macy's!

Credit services

ORLANDO, FLORIDA -- Credit service experience was horrible. I pay the bills for my family. I opened an AX account based on a recommendation from a store associate when making a purchase. Sounded like a great idea. Took two hours to get thru the transaction because of credit services and their attempts to verify that I was me.
Finally get a store manager and we get it done. I get the bill. I pay the entire amount. Three days after the due date the collection group calls stating I am overdue. I look and the e-payment processed thru my bank on the correct date. I call. Turns out I accidentally paid the amount to an old Macy's account my wife had. I gave all the information to the account representative Agent says that it was in my wife's account but is in transition to the new account. Another collection call. I call back. (Keep in mind that the call center is understaffed and every time I call I get to wait 10 to 15 minutes on hold and when I do get someone they sound like they are brand new and don't have a clue what they are doing). Agent can't find the payment and tells me the first agent did not do what was necessary to fix the issue. This agent can't find the payment. I ask to speak to a manager. After waiting on hold for 30 minutes(agent tells me there is a long queue for the supervisors), the agent tells me they can't help. Tell me I have to go to my bank and get a transaction record(with the same information on it that I can see on line and am trying to give them) and FAX it to them. During this little fiasco they keep calling me about the overdue payment. I did this. Got a letter from Macy's telling me they have transferred the money. Called again today. Still have a balance so I wait for 15 minutes to talk to someone. The offer to transfer me to payment services but comes back and says due to high volume they are not taking calls. Tells me that the payment is in process of moving to the old account to my wife's newer account. At that point it will be transferred to the new AX account in my name. It will take at least 10 days for this to happen because of the amount of the payment.
I have at least 4 hours invested in trying to correct what should be a simple fix. What a horrible experience and you have lost a customer for life. One that has shopped at your stores for at least 15 years. And will make it a point to share the horrible experience with everyone I can find to talk to.

"Worry No More" Warranty Sold by Macy's -- You Better "Worry"

BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS -- Don't do it! Don't buy the "Worry no more" warranty... recommend that you take not of the manufacture warranty and buy from a manufacturer that provides a decent warranty... You will find dealing with 'Worry no more" to be a total horror show!! I'm in MA ordered a sofa and love seat from Macy's furniture and bought the "worry no more" 7 year bells and whistles plan since it was sold as a full coverage plan... They should call themselves "Worry"€ because if you purchase the service that is what you will end up doing. They have no concept of service! They are unprofessional! They lie and they waste your time! Don't waste your money or your time with "Worry"€...

And Shame on Macy's management for linking with "Worry no More" and allowing 'Worry" to use the Macy's name to peddle such inferior warranty service. Why I say "€œWorry" sucks? Put in a claim May 2nd (**) with "worry" on May 2nd and after a week or 2 back and forth we settle on a date for them to inspect the issue which was Saturday June 15th. And then the Tuesday of the week they are to come out. They bounce me to Macy's furniture and cancelled my claim saying (without inspecting the loveseat) that what is wrong with it is still under manufacturer warranty...

Macy's furniture did a good job working one of the issues which may be related to back support of the furniture, but since there is an issue with staining also Macy's got "Worry" back on the horn for me and "Worry"€ setup a new claim and noted that they would have someone come out the Saturday June 15th to assess the issue, and stated that I would get a call regarding my 3 hr window... Saturday comes no call regarding 3 hr window so I call "Worry" worried and they tell me my window is noon to 3 pm, and state I would get a call 2 hrs before the inspector arrives...

Yes, at this point you would think all is going well... Well you would be incorrect since 2:30 pm comes and no one called and when I called "Worry" I was told they cancelled my claim again. Well the associate at worry seeing that the service has been has been totally screwed up tried to put me through to a supervisor but I got cut off...

So I call back again and the belligerent male I got is yelling at me telling me I need to listen to them explain to me how "Worry" operates when all I want to know is when is someone coming out to look at my furniture... And all I would like explained is how they could tell me wait between noon and 3 pm. As of 9 am the morning and then cancelled my claim was well as the inspection for the same day... Well the belligerent male would not connect me to a supervisor and hung up on me... To which I had to call Macy's who got things back in order again...

So it seemed but somehow it came off the rails yet again... As previously stated, "Worry" has no concept of service! They are unprofessional! They lie and they waste your time! Don't waste your money or your time with them... And shame on Macy's management for linking with "Worry no More" and allowing 'Worry" to use the Macy's name to pedal such inferior warranty service.

Do Not Purchase. Built for Failure of Refund

SANTA ROSA, CALIFORNIA -- I purchased 3 leather furniture pieces in 2012. I purchased the Worry No More warranty. I went to get it refunded since I never used it it and they only allow a refund within 90 days of the 7 year mark. While they are constantly soliciting you and reminding you of items you look at on their website they make no attempt to remind you of your pending date for the refund. Apparently this was on the sleeve of the box that the cleaning kit came in - but you take that sleeve off and throw it away. There is no mention of a timeline on the actual warranty brochure. Very Disappointed!

Worry No More Should Be Renamed to "Nothing's Covered"

WAYNE, NEW JERSEY -- Bought 2 leather couches (not my first Macy's furniture purchase by any stretch) and was sold this as a way to never worry about anything. Within a month, the cushions on both couches were sinking--a far cry from the showroom samples we sat on repeatedly. The first time I put in a claim, I was told I needed to go to the manufacturer as I had a 1 year warranty. TriState Couch made sure they finally showed up a week after the warranty expired. Their representative spent a total of 2 minutes in the house, took pictures, didn't sit on or physically inspect either couch, and left. Never heard from them again.

Contacted Macy's several months later and wow, surprise--no evidence of manufacturer defect so TriState closed claim. And now the warranty was expired. Put in another claim via Worry No More and told them maybe there was structural or assembly issues and the underneath support for the cushions was damaged as the cushions were sinking into the frame.

Without any sort of physical inspection they determined that it wasn't that--obviously it was cushion resiliency and that wasn't covered. This is not what I expected from a company who sold me a policy based on the fact that I never needed to worry about my couch's quality--that I could call and they'd come out "for any reason". I highly recommend you avoid this policy if you buy furniture from Macy's. In fact, I'd go so far as to suggest avoiding buying furniture from Macy's. Their furniture used to be good quality but now it appears it's not and they won't stand behind their products.

SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA -- I bought So many stuff from Macy's Furniture. The salesman offered me WORRYNOMORE protection plan for 5 years. After 1 year A stain appeared to my nightstand. After I called Macy's and the main protection plan company they send a technician to my place and he mentioned that this stain is covered by your plan! He said, "I am going to fix it for you. If I was not able to do it I'm gonna write a report and send a new nightstand to you."

He was not able to fix it and made it worse!!! And again mention that "Don't worry, we are going to send you a new one!" After couple of days I received an email that your issue is not covered (even after their technician made my nightstand so much worse!!!!). After so many contacts, emails and depute I got the same answer. Do not waste your money for WorryNoMore protection plan in Macy's.

Worry No More Protection

NORTHRIDGE, CALIFORNIA -- The Worry No More program is a complete scam. They tries to find all the excuses not to cover anything when the time comes that you need them. We purchased furniture for my elderly parents from Macy's. At the time they convinced us to buy for them 7 years extended warranty and told us that if any stain on it you cannot clean at any time within the 7 years they would clean and if they cannot they totally change the furniture to the new one. My mom is a cancer survivor and still dealing with cancer and my dad is 86 years old. They don't speak much English. So now they we file a claim that we still have 2 years of the term they denied it. They said that it has to within 2 weeks of the stain happens.

While my parents were trying to file the claim online, there was a question that it says when you think you notice the stain, and my parents instead of December 2108 she put September 2018. It is taking advantage of 2 elderly people with language barrier with a lot of medical problem to be deceived by Macy's supposedly Worry No More protection program. It is outrageous that they charge 2 elderly people more than $200 for 7 years warranty and not have a decency to send someone to check out their furniture. On their website they haven reporting time frame.

Thank You Very Much for Avoiding Helping Me ☺️😕

LANGHORNE, PENNSYLVANIA -- I would just like to THANK THE IGNORANT YOUNG CHILDREN working at the cosmetic counter that ignored me today. There was 3 of them talking to 1 woman and I saw them look right at me, they didn't nod in my direction showing that you would be able to help me in a second, or show me any attention at all, they were wishing I'd walk away. They just continued to talk about whatever they were talking about. It doesn't take 3 people to help 1 woman.

You are working at a MAC makeup counter just by ignoring me, she cost her company AT LEAST $60. What a twit. And just so everyone knows, and not that it should matter, I'm not some bummy looking women. I'm well groomed and dressed, so it's not like I was scary to approach lol.

Two Accounts at Macy's

Rating: 1/51

COLUMBUS, OHIO -- I had a Macy's card was asked if I would like to apply for an American Express card. Thought sure but believed it would never go through well. It was approved. I have asked them to combine the two bills because both bill are getting late fees and interest. I experienced starting in July 2017 a hardship. Got late on minimum payment and the late fees started. Could not pay late fees and interest kept adding on the card.

So I agreed to make a small payment but left the other one still getting late fees and interest. So credit destroyed by a Care card from Synchrony Bank and Amazon destroyed and Macy's account was closed. Really felt deceived. I believed the Macy's American Express card was the only one I needed and destroyed my original card. Still in a hardship. Any ideas.
