Godaddy Complaint - GoDaddy Doesn't Fulfill Their End and Still Charges Customers - domain name/e-mail

domain name/e-mail - Complaint
Review by WMUstudent on 2006-06-09
MT. MORRIS, MICHIGAN -- I signed up for a domain name with e-mail service. GoDaddy couldn't provide the e-mail service. Their customer service department said I still had to pay for it. I did not get what I paid for, yet they refuse to give a refund. I filed a complaint with my credit card company to get the charge taken off.

They also will not let me transfer my domain name to another company until 60 days is up.

Stay away from GoDaddy!

Two m3c posts about fraud in one afternoon. I'd say you're having a bad day.

The 60 day waiting period is pretty standard. In fact I think most registrars follow that rule.

i have several domains with Go-daddy. My complaint about them is they are always trying to sell you something and the control panel is a freaking mess. I do love the commercials.

I use coolcatfish.com also and highly recommend them. Not so many options but if you just want a domain register and email they are quick and eazy.
For webhosting I would currently reccomend hostgator.com they are awesome and have a resellers package. They may not stay great for long. Most Internet hosting companies can't handle the growth. So far they are the best yet.

Waiting 60 days after your initial registration to transfer is actually a rule with ICANN not Go Daddy.
