Best Buy Complaint - False advertising? - advertise out of stock products
IRVING, TEXAS -- Today (06-11-2006) I went to purchase a Samsung HD tv for an advertised price of $1299. Problem -they were out-of-stock. The warehouse was out-of-stock so they couldn't order one for me. This also meant they couldn't give me a raincheck because they may not get any more of those in. Out of 20 stores in the district, one store showed on the computer as having 2 units, but after a call to the store (by the employee), they said that store really didn't have any. They said I could come back later or buy something else. Good luck. The sign was still on display as I left the store. I told the manager they may as well reduce the price to $499 since they don't have to worry about selling any.
