Empirepets.com Complaint - EmpirePets.com is a terrible etailer

ORLANDO, FLORIDA -- This merchant took my order on April 29th 2006. After 3 weeks I e-mailed to request the status since no product had arrived. Received no answer to e-mail. After a month, ordered from another e-tailer (who delivered it within 4 days). After 5 weeks, received an e-mail saying the order was on its way. When I wrote to tell them I no longer needed the order, they blamed me for never writing to cancel the order. Item arrived on June 12th. Apparently they can ignore e-mails, and not indicate their intentions, but customers are supposed to keep sending e-mails. Anyone else think 6 weeks is too long for typical pet supplies ?

While technically you SHOULD have called to cancel the order, I agree with you that the business should have acted better. After no replies to emails inquiring about my order after 4 weeks, I probably would have done the exact same thing as you did.

E-Mails do get lost from time to time. It's not unreasonable for them to expect you to cancel the order - either by email or with a phone call.

Try "Doctors Smith & Foster" for mail order or Web purchase pet supplies. Good CS, outstanding products, and fairly reasonable prices. We've used them for years. Had one unhappy incident...it happens.

Empirepets.com has many faces, some of which are kingofswords (their name which they use to bill.) and milliniumempire. I ordered some items on their website and was billed within 24 hrs. Two days later, they told me the items were no longer available and offered a refund. It has been 4 weeks and no refund yet. I've been forced to dispute the charges to get my money back. I would definitely warn people against doing business with these people.
