Juniper Bank Complaint - Apple Credit Account 90 days interest free--NOT
I signed up for a Juniper Apple Account to buy a Mac because Juniper offered 90 days interest free on the initial Apple purchase. This is not true--at least not as stated on the web site. To get the 90 days interest free, you must use the card the day you apply for it. If you wait, as I did, for more than 60 days, then they charge you interest right from the start--even if this is still your initial purchase. Nothing wrong with this--if it were stated in the Terms and Conditions. It is not. Moreover, when I complained after my first statement, the "relationship specialist" rebated the first interest charge and said she'd take care of it. Next bill, another interest charge. I called again and got absolutely no help from the supervisors who, by the way, admitted that this information is NOT on the site. And, when I told them what the first "specialist" had said, they implied that I was being dishonest. Said my version was "up for debate." And, of course, that conversation was not recorded (the return of Rosemary Woods and the 18-minute gap?). I just filed a formal written complaint. My advice to all: Save enough to buy your Mac and avoid Juniper period.
