Arealine.com Complaint - AREALINE.COM IS A SCAM

Complaint
Review by tweetums on 2006-06-24
As a consumer from your state, I felt it was my responsibility to bring to your attention the following incident.

I ordered a LARGE PICCOLA ZUCCHINO BLACK/WHITE FENDI HANDBAG, ITEM #8BR091 on May 23, 2006 over the phone. I got the confirmation number and my card was charged for $224.99, it's showing to be mailed 2-3 days. I called on the 2nd day and asked for USPS tracking number, but this number can't even show where product is. I called on the 3rd day, 4th day. 5th day, 2nd week, 3rd week and you won't even believe it, it's been a month and I never get the merchandise nor refunded my money. I don't know how this people can do business like this, they charged your card the second you place the order and that's it. Please don't order to this website, they're full of false promises. To arealine.com run by Sima, pls. refund my money or mail me my merchandise I ordered a month ago. Shame on you.

As a resolution, I would like the following:

I wish a refund of my money, $224.99 + 16.25 shipping = $241.24. I called several times and spoke to Sima (she runs the business) and she can be reached at tel. #305-651-5557.

Please contact me if you need more details regarding this incident.

Rather than bother your State Attorney General, who I am sure has plenty on his/her plate, have you contated your credit card company refuting the charge because of non-delivery? Although I've never had to question a cc charge, I'm sure others on this forum can supply the time limit on disputing charges for items not received. You probably could have nipped this situation in the bud. Now it will be a long drawn out back and forth of letters, reports, etc., because your AG can't just drop everything and take care of your complaint. Good luck.

First, why are you buying a very expensive purse over the internet? Did you know they're alot of counterfeit items floating around? If I buy a purse of that caliber I want to see it person, you should too. You must have a Nordstroms (http://www.nordstrom.com) or Nieman and Marcus (http://www.neimanmarcus.com)in your area? Both are very reliable for your price category. Good luck

Again...who are we to slam people for the purchases they make? Yes her complaint is that she never received it and driving to a store would have eliminated that - but then what the heck good are online retailers for if we can't simply our lives by ordering when we don't want to waste gas, time & money driving around. Maybe some people don't like shopping or can only find an item online. Maybe some poeple don't drive, can't physically shop. Should they get screwed out of an expensive purchase becuase of it?

rebuttal to (rhondam718732). 1/ Nowhere in her complaint states she's disabled, incapacitated or an invalid. 2/Some online retailer transactions are ok...note the word SOME. 3/If this person has a social problem she needs to state in her complaint (note the spelling of please, pls). 4/The reason they're orders are fouled up, as consumers they fall through the cracks. Seriously dear, would you by a $200.00 over the internet?
