Century 21 - Penhorn Mall Complaint - Misrepresnation of fact then lied about it - REAL ESTATE

REAL ESTATE - Complaint
Review by gayle25 on 2006-06-25
Century 21 agent **Name removed** was told about the numerous special needs that I have and in keeping with their website this was in keeping with their supposed oustanding services.

He was told NO DOGS and NO SMOKING HOMES and NO RENTAL PROPERTY. The home I am in now ( see other complaint on Remax) it had a long haired dog, chronic smoking and a rental property status. How can this be? We find out in small claims that they never once asked Remax for special needs consideration which in turn alleviated Remax of any legal liabilities although morally they are corrupt. I have had weekly medical services directly related to this mess and have been permanently injured by the laziness and lies about the smoking and dog issue. The moneys put to rectify the problems is outrageous. Nevermind the fact that Dave was told I just got out the hospital and could not be in a home with any work needing to be done. I was already with disabilities and left to do the work on my own.

I rapidly became more sick with every viewing of a homes, 21 in total and it was not until I questioned him under oath that I find out that he not once cleared any of the viewings for me for safety. This means not once did he call ahead to homes on the market to make sure they had been no dog or non smoking. This is so criminal that it is shocking that he has not been fired especially since the small claims matter was against him.!

Please note Century 21 head office is fully aware of this matter and did nothing to rectify the injuries from thei laziness and the head office for Remax did nothing as well andit had bene them who lied about the home in the first place..

Can you consider new construction? I'm not a fan of realtors in general. However, if you have such unique needs you may wish to consult with realtors who specialize in your kinds of requests. Yours are highly interesting posts and I wish you well in your quest for an allergen/pollutant-free home according to your standards.

This is CRIMINAL? You've got to be kidding. Find a new agent, please.

Before you even think about putting an offer in on a house, do you own THOROUGH home inspection. Don't put your trust in an agent who really just wants to make a buck... particularly in this slow housing economy.

You trusted a real estate agent? They are worse than car salesmen. I know I've been both. The only thing worse is time share sales people.
That said I have allergies too. To cats and nuts (walnuts, pecans and the like) Sorry you have such bad allergies but I can assure you people who don't have no idea what we go through. You can hope they understand, but more than likely they think you just don't like smoke and pets. Sorry to say but for your own safety in the future, trust no one.

Doc- the home is finally up to standards worth living in (10,000 dollars later)please keep in mind the renters before me were the dirtiest and laziest and it took awhile. I have learned alot from my neighbours on them and it is too bad I didnot know them well enough to come to court with me. One senior moved and could only send a great letter which the judge refused to let into evidence as it clearly made his pal, the lawyer for the renters look unethical as she is.WE found out that the photos they submitted in court were digitally changed as well. sneaky I tell ya.Thanks for well wishes Doc....I did let the RE agent know he was just out to make money but was held liable in court- to ignore health issues is unethical and to know that he had such a blatant disregard for......I see him from time to time when he sees me he cannot look me in my eyes.......he knows what he did.

EMT- being you are not here to be resourceful...you know fine well that is not the entire story.

Spart- we had the GOVT do the inspection as I have disabilities..they fabricated it and it is being reviewed at this time, right now their lawyer is trying to have it thrown out...by suspending it, what they did is criminal and if GOVT is being unethical and they regulate private inspectors well.... I was very clear to the RE agent that I just got out the hospital and that I could not be in a smokers home..he never cleared that with any house and I am in the one house I could never be in as they were both chronic smokers but painted everything yellow to hide the stains that 'bled' down the walks as soon as summer came...I did submit a letter in court that their REMAX agents told them to fix the smoke problem ......it is clear in the letter they meant hide it....and they did a great job as they fooled three non smokers with glade freshners...

MI- I trusted the person as I trust all who claim to be professional as that is the standard that you would get from me I know.naive....Thanks MI .....but surely your agent is to ask if the home has smokers in it or a dog..he did neither and the sellers hid both....I just do not understand being so unethical and sleeping at night...they could have killed me....and now I have 3 machines running fulltime to correct the damage they did to my lungs and skin.
