POOL COVER DEFECTIVE, VERY POOR QUALITY!! The 7-Yr Warranty Is the Selling Point. They FAILED to Honor It!

HUNTINGTON BEACH / FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CALIFORNIA -- SHAME ON YOU LESLIE'S POOL SUPPLY!! I have been trying to contact a District Manager through Customer Service for a few days now. I was told over the telephone by a customer service representative (Quanisha) that a District Manager (Michael) would return my call yesterday (May 16, 2016)... but, he failed to do so! I called again and was told over the telephone by customer service representatives (Matt and Jasmin) that District Manager (Michael) would return my call today (May 17, 2016)... still waiting to see if they will honor the "ADVERTISED 7-YEAR WARRANTY"!

I have only had this "THERMO-TEX 13 mil thick solar cover" for less than a year (JULY 10, 2015 through MAY 16, 2016). The cover became hard and brittle in many areas with broken-off pieces floating in our pool a few months back. I live in the Beach Area with a lot of sun throughout the year but this is ridiculous. The cover has always been washed down and stored in a large container, (out of the sun) while it was not in use, covering the pool. We have small children swim in our pool, so we keep a close eye on the chemical levels and our chlorine levels are quite low.

Our chemical levels have "NOT" contributed to the DETERIORATION of our "THERMO-TEX 13 mil thick solar cover". We thought perhaps this was an anomaly, but after reading other customers comments, we believe it to be "DEFECTIVE AND OF VERY POOR QUALITY"!! The warranty is the selling point but they have FAILED to honor it! I do not mind paying more for "Higher Quality" products, however in this case, I believe that they have falsely advertised the "THERMO-TEX 13 mil thick solar cover" and taken advantage of their customers! Shame on you! I should have read the reviews prior to my purchase!

I have always purchased my pool products (pumps, equipment, covers, etc) through Leslie's and have trusted their company for over 20 years! I will not make the same mistake again. I will eagerly recommend to others to learn from my mistake! I am retired with a lot of time on my hands. Thank you for the enlightenment,

Customer Satisfaction doesn't exist here

NORWALK, CT -- We recently purchased the PureSpa by Intex in the Norwalk, CT location. The experience we encountered with this company is simply shameful. We're enjoying our recent purchase even though the experience to get questions answered and problems resolved by a staff member or manager has been completely unsuccessful.

We encountered a technical issue with this purchase (the digital display) and not one person in the store could help us and when we did call Intex directly you can't understand the representative on the phone due to a language barrier. If you want mediocre service for your pool needs, shop here. We'll pass on any future purchases with this company and have informed all of our pool owning friends and family to take their business to a store/company that has a knowledgeable and helpful staff on hand.

Pool Cover Warranty

TUCSON, ARIZONA -- The Leslie's Pool Supplies store in Tucson at Thornydale Road and Ina Road has the worst sales help I have ever encountered. The sales person named Norm is the worst excuse for a store employee. When I walked in the store he was helping another customer. He was talking and the other customer said "he was talking to me". He had not even turned around to make eye contact or acknowledge I was there. How can you be helping one customer and talking to another without looking at them. When he asked me how he could help I showed him my pool cover that needed warranty. I have had to warranty these covers before so I had the same stuff as before.

He looked at it and said "You don't have the right part to get a warranty" and turned his back to me. I explained that I had done this before at this store and he called me a liar. At this point I went off on him for doubting my word and being so rude. I will not do business with Leslie's again because every time you go there they have a different story and do not want to really help you. I have informed my HOA that has 750 homes in it to advise all tenants to avoid the crappy service and rude sales help at Leslie's. Never did get the warranty taken care of. Called their home office and they put you on hold and never answer the call. POOR, POOR business practices. Bad company to deal with.

Disgusting and Unacceptable Pricing

TOMS RIVER, NEW JERSEY -- I've shopped at Leslie's Pool Supplies several times and over the years I've realized how unbelievable their prices are on small everyday items such as gaskets and small parts. Every time I purchase from this company I feel robbed and walk out extremely angry. For this reason, I purchase the majority of supplies online for acceptable prices. Occasionally, I have a part go bad, for instance, my inline chlorinator had a worn gasket and was begging to leak water. I checked the price online and it was $7.39, no tax, free shipping. Since I needed it immediately, I went to Leslie's. Price total: A whopping $18.82.

Leslie's pricing is DISGUSTING and absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. If I met the owner of this company, I'd find it extremely difficult not to spit in his/her non-American face. Save yourself the headache and anger and buy your spare parts before the season starts. I would also recommend avoiding Leslie's for your pool water sample analysis. You're wasting your time. This is a simple do it yourself procedure.

Horrible Service Dept.

KATY, TEXAS -- WORST SERVICE DEPARTMENT EVER! After waiting 2 weeks a Leslie's chlorinator was installed by Leslie's. Didn't work. Promised us they would be out Monday. It's Friday and every day they come up with a new excuse. I wouldn't use Leslie's service department again if they were the last source in the USA. I would have the pool filled in first. They have no respect for other's time, money, or their own obligations/responsibility. We should have been a top priority considering our unit or service was/is obviously defective. Corporate offers zero assistance and operates like a mom and pop versus a corporation of its size. Furious!!!

HUNTSVILLE, ALABAMA -- Upon reading other reviews it appears Leslie's Pool likes to ruin a lot of people's summers! We went in and advised the manager of the store (at that time) we want a salt system and a 27" above ground pool too. We were sold both. 2 1/2 years later we noticed a lot of rust. We contacted Leslie's Pool and they only gave us information to contact the manufacturer of the pool. We were advised that the pool we were sold is NOT set up for a salt system and they should not have sold us a salt system to use for this pool. The set, and the supplies, and 3 pool covers totaling over $4,000 WASTED AND GONE FOREVER! Thanks for nothing!!!

Shoddy Workmanship

PHOENIX, GEORGIA -- Leslie's installed a pool liner for my disabled mother in June. Less than five months later, the liner is pulling out of the coping in several places and the installers installed the liner over bolts that had held an old diving board in place (the diving board is not there and has not been there for years); they could have trimmed the bolt ends, undone the bolts, or installed extra padding over them, but instead they did nothing and the bolts are now protruding through it.
My mother likely does not have long to live and she did not get to enjoy her pool for more than a month this summer because of the company's despicable job.

SMITHTOWN, NEW YORK -- This is not a company I would do business with again. I bought a new pump new MPV and front gandy. All bought and installed by them. Also had them open my pool. Total Cost $1600.+ The timer on the pool pump was not working as requested. I requested 12 hr run time from 10 am to 10 pm. Pump would turn on in the middle of the night and stop in the afternoon around 12:45.

I purchased pool chemicals from them $100+ which needed to be added when the pump was running. I asked them to come back and set the time and timer properly. They asked for $100 visit charge plus $22 trip fee + Taxes. They should have done it right the first time. DO NOT GO TO THEM. You will be sorry.

TULARE, CALIFORNIA -- Whatever you do don't order anything from Leslie's Pools. They have a 14 day return policy and it takes almost 14 days to get the part. So if it's the wrong part you're out of your money. To top it off they don't even tell you about the 14 day policy. The sales people are deceiving and don't care or try to help you.

NEW YORK -- Customer service in store needs help. They need to stop calling me bro. I'm sure they are told how to address people. And I feel bad for the employees who work there. Always breathing in chemicals. There are cancer ventilate cheaper products elsewhere.
