Yahoo Personals Complaint - Yahoo personals (Lacks)

Review by yomama on 2006-06-29
Perhaps it's lowgrade to complain about personals because I have to admit to using them, however, I cannot be as lowgrade as those who run them if they are all like Yahoo Personals.

They wouldn't accept my real name and sent me a message automatically that said they "apologize if they've offended me" but I'd have to contact customer care to have my name approved....why it matters what my name is to them, I have no idea. However, that being beside the point, I looked for any cue to customer care on the page and having found None at all, pressed the "help" button. This button put me on another automatic page where I was supposed to ask a question which, considering the personal attention their first automatic message said I'd need, their automatic answer of course did not answer my question. So at the end of this they give you the opportunity to formulate your own real question that, you assume, someone real will answer someday. It has been quite a few days. I've written 3 times. On top of that, their "24 hour" picture approval review has also taken quite a few days- I, by the way, have a nice normal smiley (clothed) picture of my face. By the end of this week, and my free trial, i will only have had a trial of patience as I don't know anyone who wants to meet someone with no face and no name.

Try "paltalk". We have a few regulars on here that are very impressed with it.

Don't be so hard on yourself. It's okay (really)! You tried the personal route, it did not work....so, move on! There is a saying; "There is someone out there for everyone." Be patient and when you are not looking...chances are you will find that person. Good Luck!

Are you using that 'yomama' moniker?

Never, you are so right! Pirate found the sheriff on here. Imagine that....

Yahoo doesn't offer much customer support for their services. I noticed this with a domain name through them. There was nobody to ask questions to, and I couldn't use it at all!
