Home Depot Complaint - Customer service
DUBLIN, GEORGIA -- The Home Depot in Dublin, Georgia needs to better train their staff. In the last two months various members of my family have had trying experiences with the employees of this particular store location. My mother, who is building a new home, has received a damaged front door. She decided to accept the door with a price discount and the promise that new undamaged wood strips would be ordered and an employee would come out and replace the damaged ones. This did not happen. She went yesterday to look at shower doors. She was told that they do not have doors long enough for a stand up shower-well according to the special order information in the isle-yes, they do. She will be getting another company to make the shower door for her. My cousin and her husband were told that the moldings they wished to purchase could not be sold at the time they were there to get them because someone was doing inventory. They left without buying them. My husband went to buy wood poles to cut to make garden stakes. The employee was busy, therefore, my husband asked the employee to help him find prices as he had time. After finishing with the first customer, the employee looked down the isle at my husband, turned and went the other way. These are just the examples that are on the top of my head. Someone needs to open a home improvement business in Dublin-one that will truely serve the public. In the meantime, lots of us will continue to go to Macon, Georgia to shop for such items-usually to Lowe's.
