Washington Mutual Complaint - Fraudulent Withdrawal
MEDFORD, OREGON -- If you have all the time in the world to wait after someone steals your money at an ATM clear across the country this is the bank for you. They tell you they will check it out and send you a form to fill out and mail back and then after 10 business days they will let you know. I had my card with me and rarely use it so I can only assume they gave someone else the same card and pin. I want everyone to know this bank does not take fraud seriously when it comes to it's customers. But if you are a thief, then you have the green light. No customer service here!
Ok so today is the 12th of July and thanks to some of your comments. which I promptly told the bank they have given me a provisonal credit for the 502.00 and I have closed my savings account with them and it only took two weeks with me emailing or calling everyday! Yes even Sunday. So I would tell all you that: you too could be a victim. If you are never call the 1-800 number, forget sending a message on line. March directly down to your bank and let them know that you know they have a way of checking to determine if it was fraud. Sign the papers and you may be able to cut your time down to just 1 week & 1/2, who knows. I am going to another bank that advertises you WILL get your money back if taken by fraud. Oh and that teller card.. I will never, ever use it again.
