Ashley Furniture Complaint - Bad construction!
MESA, ARIZONA -- Late april we bought a complete livingroom set and a twin bed frame. Paid 3400 bucks for all of it. You'd think we'd get top of the line QUALITY stuff. NOT!!!! The recliner is the only thing that wasn't damaged or crappy in construction. The leather itself is top quality but the construction and misshaped cushions are not, on the couch. The cushions on the couch are very lopsided. The bed frame is a long pitiful story. I still, to this day, haven't received a replacement part for this bed. My husband used the broken piece and put it together himself. Its too bad a furniture company as big as Ashleys can't do their own assembling. My chair and ottoman makes me sick to even look at it. The chair back is poofy on one side and sunken in on the other. According to Ashleys, I have to live with it. Its called a breaking in process. Yeah, tell that to my aching back. The rub marks on the furniture is another issue. The delivery people touched it up with darker then it was magic marker. Tacky workmanship to say the least. 8 weeks after delivery they finally sent out a tech to repair the shoddy repair. BUT they only did the coffee table. I told them it was ONE coffee table and ONE end table. How hard is it to listen? Customer service is a real joke. I won't even go there. I will NEVER buy ANYthing from Ashleys again. In fact they should change their name to Smashleys. Thats pretty much what they did to my bed frame. The delivery guy pretty much handed me a shattered bed slat. He saw it, but gave it to me anyway. My jaw dropped. He didn't think anything of it. We couldn't have the bed put together because there was no hardware with it. We weren't able to use that bed for 2 months. The hardware finally arrived after 2 freakin months. We still don't have the replacement bed slat. I won't buy or step foot in their store ever again. Live in learn. Whatever you do, don't trust these people. If you insist on buying from them, read the fine print and whatever they say to you verbally, get them to guarantee it in writing. If they say no, get the hell outta Dodge and go somewhere else. The Room Store did right by us. I will go there from now on. Good luck and peace out people!
