Pet Valu Complaint - Employee Mistake.... Consumer at Fault
SELKIRK, MB., CANADA -- Back on May 6, 2006 I went to purchase cat food at the Selkirk, MB., Canada location. I run a small private organization for the ehtical and humane treatment of feral cats and I spend about 300.00 to 400.00 monthly on food.
On May 6 I went purchased pet food and paid $100.00 in cash and $110.00 on my Visa. Signed the slip and came home. A month and half later I get a call from one employee telling me there was a screw up and payment hadn't been made through my Visa. She ended up making me sign the cash register slip and whatever happened to the Visa receipt or transaction I have no clue.
Head office started demanding payment a month and half later. Employee would call my work, my home, the manager of that location had her call me on a Sunday leaving a note for this employee that she "settle this before the weekend was over".
I was also told by an employee that head office said they would simply charge my card the amount without my consent???
I have had no apology from the store nor the manager nor head office. I paid half the $110.00 in cash but as a very good customer who spends alot there they have lost all my business and as they say, the consumer and his/her opinion of a business means alot.
I hope this never happens to any of you. They made me feel like a cheat and like I was trying to rip them off and for what? Their mistake.
Buyer beware... some claim to be customer oriented and value their clients.... NOT
