Royal Appliance Mfg. Co. Informative - Poor Quality/Poor Warranty

Review by sussertown on 2006-07-10
I owned 3 Royal shredders in about 2 years. One was in exchange from number 2. Bought them at Sam's. Each broke in different ways doing their inteneded jobs. Difficult to get a call back. Wanted me to pay for shipping. Can you guess how much that costs?
I just bought a Dirt Devil (royal) Stick Vac. I like it. The warranty is for one year and requires prepayment of shipping. The Vac cost $26.00. Is that a warranty?

My businesses break a shredder every few months. I'm too cheap to buy a commercial quality machine. You're right, the "warranty" you describe is not a warranty. Then again, it's only about $30...ya get what ya pay for. Thanks.

Paper shredder tips: Avoid the Fellowes Brand.
The Xerox XRX-15X make's and excellent cross shredder provided you don't put "envelopes with the gloss plastic windows," "no plastics nor thick envelopes." Empty it out often or you'll think it's broke. Good luck
