Roadhouse Grill Complaint - Bad food. Really bad food.

Review by gazelem67 on 2006-07-10
WOODSTOCK, GEORGIA -- Last January, I took my wife out to dinner at Roadhouse Grill on 92 in Woodstock. This is not Texas Roadhouse or any other similar name. It's specifically "Roadhouse Grill" and they have about 60 restaurants in the Southeast and in Ohio and NY.

We each ordered steak with mushrooms. The steaks were tough, and the mushrooms were not only canned (I could accept canned if they're not awful) but they were also slimy and well...gross. The vegetables were overcooked.

My wife ordered rice pilaf. Pilaf is supposed to be light and fluffy. This was heavy and greasy. I'm not exaggerating. There was a pool of grease in the bottom of the side bowl of pilaf. The rice likewise had the consistency of fried rice that had been left in the pan all day.

Overall, the experience was nasty.

What a shame about your dining experience.
"She packed up her bags and she took off down the road. Left me here stranded with the bills she owed. She gave me a false address. Took off with my American express. Sunspot baby
She sure had me way outguessed."

How much did you pay for this experience? Can't bash you for the delay in posting...probably took that long to stop gagging. Likely a failing franchise. Best wishes.

It was about $60 which is par for the course for a theme restaurant. I'm not complaining about the charge, just the substandard food. I would expect (and get) higher quality food from McDonald's. I go to Longhorn regularly and they have excellent food (again, considering the type of restaurant it is).

I think your expectations were reasonable. The price is about right for this kind of place...if the food were edible. It was not. I hope you had a quiet conversation with the franchise owner or manager as you paid your guest check. Either they are unaware of the quality or don't care. If the latter, take comfort this place will be out of business soon. Good luck.
