Subway-Bluffton Road-Waynedale Complaint - For the want of a High Chair my meal was ruined.
Myself, my husband and my two children (one of whom uses a highchair) recently ate at the Subway located at 2180 Sean Drive in Fremont, Ohio. When I first walked in and looked around, which has become habit, I didn't notice any highchairs. When I walked up to the counter to order our food (two 6 inch meals and 2 kids meals) I asked the employee (before even ordering!) if there were highchairs. She said that there were so I ordered our meals and as we brought everything to the table and glanced around again we didn't see the highchairs. I walked back up to the counter and said to the girl "I'm sorry.. I can't seem to find the highchairs." She looked over to an area that was obviously empty and said "Oh, I guess it's being used." and motioned towards a family with a baby in a highchair. I said "It? As in you only have one?" So, since I had already ordered my food I had to eat while holding my very squirmy and active 17 month old daughter on my lap. One highchair for a restaurant is ridiculous.. but that isn't the part that really bothers me. The thing that really gets me is the fact that before even ordering I asked her if there were highchairs and she said that there were. Obviously, I wasn't just taking a survey on Subways and highchairs- she could see that I was asking because I, in fact, needed one. This may seem trivial to some but I absolutely could not enjoy my meal because of this. It wouldn't have been that big of deal had I walked in and she had told me that there was only ONE and that it was being used. But, that's not what she said at all and because of that I ordered my food. Had I been correctly informed I would have left and eaten lunch elsewhere.
I would like you to PLEASE notify this store that if someone asks about a highchair to be sure to check to see if the ONE they have is being used. I would also like for you to consider getting a few additional highchairs for that Subway. Lastly, I don't think it is too much to ask for our meals to be compensated since we couldn't even enjoy ourselves
