Honda Complaint - Misleading Internet Listings on Honda Website
CALIFORNIA -- I recently looked through the Honda website for Certified Used Cars and found two cars that had great prices. The first dealer I called told me that they had the car and to come by. I arrived to the dealer about 45 minutes later and the dealer said they already had sold the car and he didn't know it. I was pretty upset and told them that they just wasted my time and they still tried to sell me another car. Maybe it wasn't nice, but I decided to act interested to waste their time like they did mine.
The second dealer told me the car was there when I called and I made sure they had it before driving up there. The sales manager told me after I talking to the car salesman and made a offer that the price on the internet was wrong. Instead of 14195 the car was selling for 15999 and he couldn't sell it to me for the listed price. This time I just left mad.
I called Honda after the first incident to make a complaint after I saw the car was still listed. The customer representative told me that it was the dealer's fault for not updating their inventory on the Honda website. However, the sales manager during the 2nd incident told me that Honda was at fault for not listing the price right. So either Honda is responsible for the listings or the dealers are. Sounds like the old bait and switch (BS in other words) to me.
