Wyndham Inner Harbor Baltimore Complaint - Filthy room for a 3 star hotel
BALTIMORE, MARYLAND -- I should have known when the valet did not approach our car, that this was going to be a crappy stay. I got a great deal on priceline for a 2 day stay at this hotel. I have never gone wrong with priceline, often staying at 4 star hotels for under $100 a night. This time I settled for a 3 star joint and got the Wyndham. Anyway, after we pulled up got out of the car and went to the valet (instead of him coming to us) we went in the lobby and got in a check in line of about 9 people! It took about 20 minutes to check in. When we got to our room, we were even more disappointed. The room smelled musty, the carpet and walls were dirty and water stained, and the bed was springy, I could actually feel the coils. I called and after about 20 rings, the clerk told me that "all rooms were sold out". I was really disgusted then, because this is a 20+ story hotel, with TWO towers! I found it very hard to believe that all the rooms in this crappy hotel were occupied. My friend went down to the lobby and complained in person, and guess what? Yep, we got moved to a bigger corner room with a wall of windows. So much for being sold out. I have a feeling that anyone who uses priceline to get hotel rooms doesn't get the same type of room that someone who pays full price. Some tips when staying here: DONT stay in the south tower. If they give you a room there, request the north tower instead. DONT order any food here, it's overpriced and not very appetizing. Be warned parking is expensive $30 a night! Despite the improved room, I will NEVER stay in this hotel or its chain again. This is not a 3 star hotel.
