Home Depot.com Complaint - Worse on-line experience EVER!!
I placed an order for some Patio Furniture set that was not available in the store. We went to several stores and they gave us a catalog to use for placing our order on-line, even had FREE SHIPPING. What a deal!! Big mistake - placing the order was easy and confirmation /shipping of order within 5-7 days were going to be perfect for Father's Day/4th of July.
Never heard anything after 9 days, my order was still being processed at warehouse. I sent an email to the customer service email address 2 times to check on the order status - never a response. After 11 days, called the 800 number and waited approximately 1 hour to speak to someone, a live person. Once the service representative answered, they could only tell me what they saw on the website that I saw. You order is being processed at the warehouse and will be shipped 5 - 7 business days. There was no one available to verify if the warehouse had actually received the order. They promised me that someone would be contacting me shortly with the shipping information. After a few more days (2 weeks after initial order), I checked the website again, YOUR ORDER HAS BEEN CANCELED, no explanation, no email, no phone call, nothing. I could not believe it! Immediately I called the 800 number again - and waited another hour or so until finally being transferred to a customer service rep that was very polite and basically told me, thanks but SORRY there was not one thing he could do. My order was canceled, PERIOD (END OF STORY). After this experience, I would never order or recommend ordering from Home Depot on-line again!!!
