SuperShuttle Complaint - SuperShuttle lying about pick-up attempt
WASGHINGTON D.C./DULLES -- Dear all travelers,
I had a bad experience with SuperShuttle and talking to other people, I am apparently not the only one.
I have pre-booked a 3.45 am pick up from my hotel. I am waiting outside the main entrance to my Hotel. The driver was late. At 4.15 I call and was told the driver was 2 miles away.
At 4.40 I call again and they tell me they have the driver on the other line; he went to the address and there was no one there!. I asked them to tell me at what type of business was at the address where he went to pick me up; he could not. (so he was never there…)
I insisted on the driver turning around to pick me up or Supershuttle to pay for a taxi; at which point the phone was put down on me –
So I ended up with having to pay $80 in Taxi…I was fuming!
Apparently this is common practice for supershuttle; when there is an ‘out-of-the way- pick, they are a no-show. Several people have taken them to court. Problem is it is hard to prove a negative; that the driver was never there.
There was 5 other people waiting out side the hotel with me, so in that sense I guess I have proof Supershuttle is lying….
The Taxi driver that took me to the airport, told me he had a few people each month in the same situation; supershuttle never shoving up.
So don’t give supershuttle any business!!!
