In & Out Burger Compliment - Employees with brains

Review by DORCAS on 2006-07-19
PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA -- My husband and I visited the In&Out Burger in Palm Desert yesterday. I usually love the single burger but I just wanted the sandwich with cold cheese and the fixens but no meat. I never order special orders here because it's a simple menue. Nevertheless, I asked the lady taking my order if I could do this. She immedietley started punching in buttons, asked if I would like it grilled or extra cheese, whatever. Even had a button for warm or cold bread. It was really crowded at that time of day but she was quick with both our orders, kind and friendly. And maybe 5 minutes or less we had our meals. And everything was perfect. As crowded as it was there was not an emloyee that wasn't smiling or helping someone out. The minute someone left a table it was cleaned and left for someone to sit down right away. Even the bathrooms were very clean. It's not rocket science to be like this. Too bad other restaurants don't take manager courses like In and Out does.

Never heard of this place. Is it a new chain? We have "Fatburger" out here now. Look forward to trying them.

ZZ , that was your 1500 and 1501 post. Congrats on your "regular" status. Heck, I was here long before and I just past 1400. Only a select few dressed in gowns of stars have more.

DORCAS: I ate at one in San Jose and had the same experience and the food was good. But there were so many people that I had to wait an hour to eat. I would like to see them come to the east cost to a little town then I would eat there again.

Slim and Zork, please don't feel the "need" to troll and post on every thread. Some people take this site seriously.

Good old in and out makes me miss California.

I hadn't thought about it only being a California Restaurant but I guess it is. They're really popular and sell T-shirts out of the store and they sell alot of those too. Their theme song is: "In and out, In and out...That's what a hamburger's all about"
It seems like if you have a mind for it you can make porn out of anything. I've seen bumper stickers that say "In and Out Burger" and the first and last letter are cut off.(You can figure that one yourself) If you live in CA I'll bet you've seen that one before. AWSPIE: You're right, it iz da bomb! :)

Ooops, I ment to say the first and last letter in burger. Sorry.

LOL pirate, we already figured that out 3 days ago. See above. Do you even read these threads before you go spouting off?

Living and working here in CA, I have eaten at many I & O's. They have always been as described. Only trouble is that there are not enough of them. They are expanding into Nevada and Arizona though.
